I am listening to it right now and while it needs a bit of tweaking (it is still very fresh) it is pretty awesome. Runs about 1:45, has a nice marching drumline, and about a third of the way into it when all the instruments are present it gets pretty uplifting. Sounds great for a "now apply what you've just learned!" sort of deal.

I myself think it needs just a couple tweaks here or there, but I'd like to get some constructive feedback from everyone else to pass on to him, if it's needed.

EDIT: Echo suggests having less non-drum at the start to let the drums have more presence. Perhaps let the trumpets fade in? Echo, elaborate if you feels likes it ;(

Sounds great - love the marching band style music which matches Ouendan's nicely. A couple of things, 1. amp up the drum track a bit and maybe put a deep bass drum thump in as well, and 2. make it sound a bit less MIDI-ish! My 2c only, see what Pete thinks.

I listened to the track, and overall not bad. Agreed, it does need to be less MIDI-ish. The one tone trumpet opening which repeats constantly slightly got on my nerves. It got better when the other instruments came in. Maybe start it soft, then build up volume?

I agree with Remmy up there. But, what about doing like, a multi-trumpet lead in? Say, the first comes in, then the second a couple of seconds later, then third, then repeat. I don't really know how it would sound, but it might be nice filler until the band comes in.

Discussed feedback. I think we're going to have a drum-only opener, and the introduction of the trumpets will be more modest and less MIDIgrinding - either that, or the trumpets will be replaced entirely by something similar but with a more RSE sound. If need be, I'll record it as a separate track and get my hands dirty de-MIDIifying it. Hopefully by the end of the weekend we'll be all set.

This should come with osu! installer, so that newbies can understand fast how to play.
