Ok I'm going to make transfering osu! files over to your iPhone/iPod 20x easier.
Before we start you going to need some things:
The obvious, iPhone/iPod and USB cable.
*Make sure you have afc2add from Cydia* (Thanks to nintedoto to pointing this out.)
And iFunbox. which you can download at: http://www.i-funbox.com/

After you have all that you follow the following steps:
1. After downloading iFunbox unzip it and place the .exe somewhere where you won't forget it. Ex. Desktop.

2. Plug in iPhone/iPod and wait until iTunes is done with back-up/sync, or you can cancel it.

3. Open iFunbox it might take a while for your iPhone/iPod to show up (depends on the computer really).

4. Double-Click on the plus symbol net to your iPhone/iPod and it should open to display more folders.
Image

5. Double-Click "Raw File System".
Image

6. Double-Click "var".
Image

7. Double-Click "mobile".
Image

8. Double-Click "Documents".
Image

9. Double-Click "osu".
Image

10. Single-Click "beatmaps".
Image

Ok I think this is the easiest way to get to the osu folder.

11. Right Click the shortcut for osu! on your desktop, or where ever you put it and click on properties.

12. Then Click on Open file location and that should bring you to the osu! folder.
Image

13. Open the "songs" folder.
Image

14. Then just ctrl click the songs you want and drag them into the right side of the iFunbox program.
Image

Then wait for the files to transfer and you are good to go. *Tumbs up*

Doesn't work for iPod Touch 3G (FW 3.1.3) even if it's jailbreaked. Too bad...

If I post a # it is a general suggestion to your whole beatmap.
If I post a ~ it is a suggestion to the written position in your beatmap.

Downgrade is impossbile 'coz if you restore a backup/other fw in itunes, itunes connects to apple to verify the fw-change^^ and the apple server allows only the same or a newer fw

You can downgrade iPhone firmware if you save the "SSH Blobs" of your old version of it.
There are utilities to do that; they basically allow you to go back to your old firmware (download from a third party source) and use the security codes etc. that you used to have when your iPhone had that firmware.

Also, you can transfer songs like this using any SSH client- wirelessly, in fact.

This is what I use to copy beatmaps to my Jailbroken iPod Touch 3G in Windows XP...

1) Install "OpenSSH" or "afc2add" in Cydia on iPhone/iPod Touch.

2) Download and install a free application called "iPhone Folders" from the following web site. The top section of the web site is completely blank, so you will need to scroll half way down the page to see it.
http://iphonefolders.com/

You should then be able to browse the contents of your iPod Touch or iPhone via USB in Windows Explorer, like you would with a removable hard drive, etc. :)

I used it on 3.1.3 and it worked fine. But I'm now on 4.1 so yeah.

I think another (wireless) option is use OpenSSH and WinSCP. That's what I do. If you want I can write up a tutorial for OpenSSH.
"Basing a sexy character off of me is like getting the square root of negative zero. It just doesn't work."

Useful post, Thanks.

This method should work on all iPods and iPhones which are jailbroken.
I think some Jailbreaks(eg. Spirit, blackra1n) do not include afc2add which is mandatory for viewing the root folders in your device.
You can find afc2add in Cydia once you jailbreak your device.

I'm using iPod Touch 4G with firmware 4.2.1 and it works fine.
