If anyone decides to map a song they found in this project, could you please link it to draw more attention to this, thanks <3
I saw that people apparently enjoy this kind of music and stuff but found that there's not even an overview about all the songs they have out there,
so here I'll compile a lot of stuff into this
07th Expansion is the doujin circle behind the When They Cry - のなく頃に - series, spanning Higurashi, Umineko and the latest installment being Ciconia. The plots now range from a bloody tale of friendship and coopertation making anything possible, a murder-mystery thesis about how magic is not real to technological steampunk filled to the brim with bible references, the number 34 and miracles.
So, you know, fun for the whole family or something. If you like chess metaphors, I suggest giving this a read.
This thread collects the existing OST from games that I do own.
The 58th year of Shouwa, early summer
It's June, and the summer heat has arrived earlier than it does most years.
By day there are crickets, and by night there are cicadas.
We're in Hinamizawa, a small village in the countryside.
There are fewer than two thousand people here. But every year, there is an event.
This event is a mysterious death.
(This series has run from 1979 to 1983)
On a certain day in June, someone dies, and someone else goes missing.
The series of deaths is connected to the upheaval surrounding the dam construction project.
A murder case that was covered up is being re-enacted.
Is it a conspiracy? A coincidence? Or perhaps a curse?
Someone who was supposed to be there isn't.
Someone who wasn't supposed to be there is.
Someone who was alive last night is dead now.
And someone who is here right now isn't alive.
So, there is no way to avert tragedy. There is no choice but to give up.
But don't give up.
Only you can stand up to this.
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni is a sound novel.
The music, backgrounds and characters work together
to create a world that is the stage of a novel for the user to read.
They laugh and cry and get angry.
The user takes the point of view of the protagonist to experience the story.
An important point to note here is the absence of
what is commonly called choices and forks.
This means that you are freed from the tedious saving and loading
the searching for events and routes, and can instead
enjoy the story from the beginning to the end.
Nevertheless, this is a game, not a novel.
As the player, you will be able to unravel the mystery
surrounding the events in the game as the scenarios unfold.
You can ponder on the nature of the mystery by yourself when you're on the train,
you can discuss it with your friends, you can search for clues on the Internet
or you can even file complaints on the circle's website.
The choice is yours.
This is Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, a serial murder themed sound novel
that doesn't offer you any choices but does offer you the opportunity
to search for the truth yourself.
Will you fear?
Will you become engrossed?
Will you face the challenge?
Only you can decide how to enjoy the story.

I would love to include the Higurashi OST here but sadly i have no game with a music room nor any other clues how to get to the songs!
If any of you has any clue, i would be more than happy to add these!
