Problem Details:
I am getting minimum 1000+ FPS in games. During the song selection the song stutters and when i pick a new song it lags. But I still have the VERY HIGH FPS. In songs occasionally the song will pause (not really pause) but more of a freeze. I am running the stable version of Osu not the Cutting Edge. I have unlimited FPS for the cap. I am using 3 monitors. I am running this all off a laptop the specs will be given. I still dont understand why I would be lagging even though I have like 2000 FPS.

Just going to repost what I posted here.

No Idea what it actually is but for now here's a checklist;
  • -Make sure youre on DirectX
    -Disable Aero (eg use a basic theme)
    -Set the priority of the osu!.exe process to high in the task manager
    -Make sure performance settings are set to performance.
    -Update/Roll back your GPU drivers
    -Make sure there are no background processes suddenly kicking in
Also try what I suggested here;
  • Could you run a benchmark while playing with Fraps? (Free trail version should be fine.)
    Monitor the FPS, frametimes & min/max/avg and upload the result to zippyshare
    (or any other file hosting service for that matter) so we can have a look at it.

    Also having a screenshot of your GPU usage from MSI Afterburner while you're playing would be handy.

    Should be able to determine exacly what happens with that information.

    Anyway... Does this happen in every game or just osu!?

Bottom line basically is:
Seeing what your GPU & CPU usage levels are like, together with a fraps benchmark of when the frame skip happens
should get us alot further than randomly suggesting things.

I think you just fixed it with the things you told me. I will do the FRAPS benchmark thing soon. Let me get on it. I have to restart my computer there were a few updates for windows. This just happens in Osu. League is fine. While playing my CPU Usage is 19 -24 with osu, google chrome, skype, and task manager open. In the song selection screen there is still slight lag but not too much.
