[Archived] Recreating osu.exe

Problem Details:Every update with cutting edge a new osu.exe (ink) keeps getting
created on my desktop. I have all my games on one folder and i always see osu there sitting on my desktop after
an update.

Video or screenshot showing the problem:

2 osu's it keeps recreating it after each update.

osu! version: 20141120.1cuttingedge

Indeed resolved for me. It should only put a shortcut on your desktop anymore the first time you open osu!.
Have you tried forcing folder permissions (in the in-game options) and launching osu! as admin once (and only once)?

It just started doing this. Everytime i update at all. it makes another shortcut.
If i go to Stable to CuttingEdge it does it.
Even if CuttingEdge has an update it happens.
And yep. i've tried that. it still happens.

It's only happened to me one time and then it never happened again.
