[resolved] [confirmed] Multiplayer game with NO HOST.

Problem Details:

We were on a game, the host left and then there was no host.

osu! version: 20141106.14 (latest)

Happens sometimes if the host times out. Some people can replicate it, but it really rare though

Manually closing rooms which have a zombie host for now. I'm assigning myself to this problem as I was the one who put it in, however I am not yet certain of the true cause.

If anyone knows of a way to consistently replicate this, that'd be a great help!

can you find any way to replicate it? until now, it's still considered as "random" therefore there's no real way in fixing it

I would have said that.
It's wierd that there was no game played in that room.

Could be that the "roomoppener" oppend the room and didn't recieve that "Host" tag. But that wouldn't explain that empty slot.
The "turnament-rooms" don't have a visible host. Could be that something like that is happening.

I just answerd peppy's question.
I'm sure he can find out the reason for that with some "prints".

Hmm...

I haven't come across this problem yet, but it seems like this is a huge issue
as multiple people are getting this bug...

Peppy, in case the host time's out and the host leaves, but the host privileges are passed to no one, you should make a code to boot everyone out of the room so that this bug can be avoided...

If it can't be fixed the time the amount of time before a lobby closes on it's own because nothing has happened should be reduced. I don't know why that multiplayer lobby isn't showing the full time it only shows 6-7 but it was open at around 1 and was still open at around 5 when i went to bed.

Today's bancho patch should mark an end to this bug. I'll leave this thread here for a couple of weeks to report any stuck games in that period, so let us know if you see any!
