I use Gimp now
I then downloaded SanaFonYu, and it looks great for Japanese lyrics <3
Though I have no idea what would be great fonts and such for other languages
Though, I'm quite wondering how [CSGA]ar3sgice made his lyrics for his μ's maps, like Otomeshiki Ren'ai Juku
If someone knows it, I really want to know that :3
Edit: I found out (I think)
Photoshop CC (There is a free trial for 30 days)
Add a layer with the tekst
Then make the background layer invisible
Then right click on the layer, and go to Blend settings
Then "line", the rest will be self-explanatory

i use after effects. usually a video editing programm. but if you do something like a 50 height x 500 width composition, write your lyrics and then render it as a .png with rgb + alpha enabled my file size is just something around 5 KB.
