I love this song hope it will get ranked. Dont know about standard but in taiko every note was red. Is there a way to balance it for taiko?

I really have no idea about taiko, but somewhere says "Red notes refers to no hitsound Hit Object, while blue notes need a whistle or a clap on a hit circle."

I haven't put any hitsound yet. So, that would be the reason xD

Hi there, coming from your request in my Modding Q

[General]
  1. Can never go wrong with blankets

[Normal]
  1. 00:03:157 (3,6) - both ends should overlap imo
  2. 00:04:326 (4,7) - let 7 overlap with 4. this would also make a better blanket
    [*}00:07:443 (1) - that finish is pretty loud, lower the volume a little bit (actually, I think removing the finish is better)
  3. 00:13:677 (1) - ^
  4. 00:19:521 (1) - remove clap
  5. 01:05:496 (1) - ^
  6. 00:23:417 (5) - move a little bit up so that there's a nice turn from 4 into 5. This also allows a nicer placement for 00:24:976 (7) -
  7. 00:25:560 (1) - this shape seems kinda off. The map's building up on pretty curved sliders, this hard slider here should be reformed
  8. 00:36:664 (1) - ^
  9. 01:07:054 (3,5,1,3,5) - ^
  10. 00:52:249 (1) - ^i guess you can also replace it with a repeating
  11. 01:04:716 (1) - ^
  12. 00:26:534 (1) - This is one big thing here: First of all, remove the clap on the head.
    Now, you can hear a very loud bass-y sound at the slider's tail. This one should be hitsounded! The thing is, standard hitsounds usually dont fit to bass-y stuff, so I'd recommend you to find a fitting hitsound (either on the net, forum or from other maps) and use it with custom overrides. This has to be changed through the whole diff (and probably mapset)

  13. 00:41:729 (2) - reverse should be on the big white and not on the red. shorten it and add a circle 00:42:898 (3) -
  14. 00:59:262 (1) - is touching 00:56:924 (5) - , fix that (touching objects are never good like this)

[Hard]
  1. I'd rework the hitsounds on this diff completely. especially the beginning. It's quiet and it should have claps all over it. There are also some overlap issues. Fix these by looking at each objects x and y coord and set them to exactly the same. Other than that, the map looks actually pretty good
  2. 00:09:196 (4,5) - blanket can be improved
  3. 00:25:755 (1,1,1) - all these NCs are not necessary. Overlaps should also be fixed
  4. 00:37:053 (1) - remove NC
  5. 00:59:262 (1,1,1) - important overlap issue

[Insane]
  1. Same issues as in Hard
  2. 00:08:417 (3,4) - I like the idea behind this, but eventually people will think that 3, which is a normal circle, will be the start for 4, the actual slider. Especially since you repeat thie combo a lot
  3. 00:25:560 (1,2,3,4) - something like this? Fits the song better
  4. 01:13:191 (6) - fix placement

Change the source, 花咲くいろは.

Lower all difficulties volume by 10 %, current are too loud. (on my opinion. XD)

You should remove the slider slide's sound, it's pretty annoying. Find a silent .wav file, or download here. Copy to your Map folder, (If you don't know where, it's on your osu! folder > Songs > Your map name) then rename it.

with: *-sliderslide
Change * with: Normal, Soft, or Drum.

then, on your time Timing Panel check this.

Random attempt at Taiko mod from #modreqs. (This is my first mod so don't expect it to be very helpful but I'll try my best!)
Also I have no idea how to make all the fancy mod posts that everyone else does so you get generic formatting!


Taiko General:
• CS and AR don't matter in Taiko. Most people recommend keeping them both at 5 for consistency.
• Slider Velocity is the same in both difficulties. I would raise SV on the Muzukashii or lower it on the Futsuu. I feel like the Muzukashi is a bit slow, so try raising it to 1.5 or 1.6 and see how it feels.
• The hitsounds are a bit quiet at times. I feel like they should be louder for the entire song. If you copied the timing sections over from another difficulty, keep in mind that green sections do not have to stay consistent for each difficulty, and most Taiko maps have constant hitsound volume throughout.


Neku's Futsuu:
• Overall I feel like the patterns are pretty good. It's a bit easy for a Futsuu but then again it's a slow song so don't worry too much about the star rating.
• 00:25:560 (38,39,40,41) - I think 39 sounds better as a blue note. Try adding a clap and see what you think.
• 00:36:663 (60,61,62) - Maybe try this as blue blue red?
• 00:37:443 - You don't really need this break just because there are no vocals because there are other things that could be mapped.
• 00:52:248 (83,84,85) - blue blue red, same as above.
• 01:04:715 (106,107,108) - Same as above.
• 01:05:495 - 01:14:845 - I feel like this part can be mapped on every second beat also to go along with the drum I hear in the background. Try adding a blue note in each of these gaps other than the first one. If you do this, you'll probably want to change up the patterns in the next part of the song because it would get repetitive.


Neku's Muzukashii:
• The main problem with this difficulty is that it's too easy for a Muzukashii and too similar to your Futsuu. The map is composed mostly of 1/1 and 2/1 with not enough 1/2. Be looking for lots of places where you can remap to 1/2 patterns without overmapping and without making the 1/2 patterns too long.
• The first part of this is identical to your Futsuu. I think if you mapped more to the vocals with 1/2 patterns in this section it would be more fun to play and also help increase the difficulty.
• Most of the 1/4s you placed don't seem to go with anything I can hear in the song. They play fine though and 1/4s are fine in Muzukashii unless they're overused so I'd leave them as is.
• I'm not going to give any specific places where you should add notes because as I said, the entire difficulty should be made harder. It's a good map but just too easy for what it probably should be for a nice difficulty spread.
