Echo's arguments were simply much more convincing than yours were, that's really all it came down to.
Anyway I'm not gonna argue this anymore; Echo outsmarted me, and I ended up voting for the wrong person. Sure it's easy to criticize me for not voting Echo when you already knew Echo was mafia, but all I had to go on was the debate between you two, and my eyes, Echo won it. So with all due respect, get over it  It's a game. I sort of ruled him out at the beginning, and even though my thoughts on the game changed later, I may have subconsciously held the notion in my mind that Echo was more likely to be innocent. I'll remember that for future games  AKA any combination of: [face/eye] + [man/guy/bro]

Pasonia seems to think that people should believe he is a townie simply because he's telling them so. If you roll scum next game, are you saying you won't tell us you're townie?
strager: If Pasonia was scum in this game, given the circumstances at the beginning of this game, he would have either posted without a claim or claimed that he investigated me as guilty. Saying that he investigated me innocent on the first day, again given the circumstances at the beginning of this game, was conclusive proof of his innocence. |

As a rule, I don't post suggestions in my mods because letting mappers choose their own solutions generally produces a solution more like their mapping style. Err, not right. In fact, I've argued on this far more than I did for M4. That's why I am pissed that for all that's worth you won because a certain somebody was biased against me. Had I known 0_o believed you all the way I'd have emulated what you did in WWG3-R and say "I'm not going to even try and defend that", and had 0_o still be undecided you'll be hard-pressed to answer my question. Yep, 0_o, that right about happened with you. I may not be adept at Mafia, but if you want a pick-the-facts-out flame war, I can do that. All I simply did was tweak that ability for Mafia. It's a shame whatever I said didn't convince biased people, but that's unavoidable given the key word that is bias. *shrug* Notice, Echo, that I successfully (and mostly correctly) argued that you claimed a role you believed SFG to hold. Freudian slip. There's nothing about "believe I'm a townie when I say so" in the last four to five posts before I died at the hands of a biased player, but there's a lot of "Echo can't be a townie because this is what is going on" I said, which (for some very odd but no longer surprising reason) ended up convincing a biased player that I was clasping at straws. First: 0_o wasn't biased towards me simply because I am me. Without sounding too arrogant, I made better arguments; I had better cases against you; I explained more clearly; I set up an impression that I was innocent from day 1. Sure, he was biased, but that's because I convinced him during the game that I was town. He made a judgment call based on the evidence available, ie. the posts in the thread, it just happened to be incorrect.
The only person you can blame is yourself for not being more convincing with your evidence. That comes in due time after you play the game a few more times. Freudian slip. 0_o already pointed this out and I didn't see a need to elaborate. Since I claimed miller, I had to say I think SFG was sane. I don't see any problems with that. Once I went back on my miller claim, then that statement does not mean anything anymore. The only thing you could have gotten from that was that I had no idea paranoid cops existed at that time, but even that is easy enough for me to counter. |

I'd just like to add:
Bias, lies, covering up, blaming, betrayals, etc. are all a part of the game. These are the things that the mafia will (and pretty much *must*) use and/or exploit in order to win. If you have a problem with this, then you shouldn't play. Remember that this is just a game and I really hope that no hard feelings are created because of these games. |
