Hello osu! community !

I started osu! last week, and this is my first post.
I noticed that some good players use capacitive keys instead of a keyboard, and I had the idea to adapt my iambic Morse paddle to play osu!.
In the radioamateur world (I'am radioamateur, my callsing is VA2GKA), mechanical magnetic keys are widely preferred to capacitive pads, because of the best feeling.
Also, these devices are used by amateurs to achieve very high speed telegraphy [Ref. 1] and there is a long story of optimization.
Of course, telegraphy is no longer in use by professionals, but amateurs love it and there is a good challenge to master it. [Ref. 2]

Anyway, these high quality keys are designed to give the best performance, and that's why I made a test.
Technically, the contact distance is very short and adjustable (ex. 50-500 µm), and the pressure is also adjustable.
The major difference for an osu! player is certainly the use of the thumb and index. But using this setup allows a relaxed position of the hand.

I wrote some code (for Atmel 32u4) and connected some wires to be able to use my paddle as a simple keyboard (with two keys).

And it works perfectly!! :)
Of course, I'm only a beginner on osu!, and I don't have enough experience to judge, but the feeling is good and I like it.
My good old key as now a second life with osu! :)

Below, a picture of the assembled device:

I think this kind of hardware could interest some players. If anyone wants more details, I can put the code on my Github, and share all details [Ref. 4].

Some additional links of very good keys: (everything is made by hand, this explains the price...)
