Thread bump since stuff happened, and to formally end the tournament.
Okay, after SEVEN weeks of competition, the osu!Philippines Holiday Friendlies 2017 has concluded. We have seen very competitive matches (when matches actually happened) across all four divisions we held. It had been not easy for all of us, staff and players alike, but thank you for participating in our largest undertaking as a community.
Now as the guy who had this tournament as an original concept of some sorts (format and stuff), I'd personally like to give my thanks to the following people who have helped made this thing a possibility: (brace yourselves, WALL INCOMING)
Zaphirox - The guy who pushed me to continue with this plan. I remember sending over screenies of a tourney proposal to you over at Discord and you said that it was very feasible. We started putting effort into this and I did not expect that the hype for this event was actually that large. I have no regrets working with you on this.
Lobsterr - The manager that shows up when he can. Thank you VERY much for helping manage the game mode I am not that familiar with, Catch the Beat. I know that you were worried about the player turn-out on your division, but ends out that your division has apparently the best turn-our of all four divisions held!
A special mention goes to the following people for providing the
Quality™ mappools in this tournament. Without you guys, the tournament might've not been as successful as this.

- konawiki
- Nitrous
Here are the guys you'd tend to spam mentions on Discord just to finish the standard mappool, and would actually deliver even if they'd just work on it for like 3 or 4 hours total in the weekend. I have no idea on how you guys do it, but MASSIVE props to you guys.

For the fruit-catching people, I was REALLY surprised about how you guys already had a mappool up until the FINALS, of all stages, for this tourney, and you guys barely had time to access the selection sheets I made. Thank you guys for being part of this team.

Well, since I know how you guys worked with me throughout the selection process, my message will be
slightly longer. Okay, so we had the task of constructing mappools enough for TWO tournament divisions, the 4K and 7K divisions, specifically. We even had the job of creating notecharts for the qualifying stages of the two divisions, and I have no words on how all of us delivered even with the pressure. Even with our experience with selection, and even one of us actually selected for one edition of the Mania World Cup, things were still hard for us, but we still pulled through and I appreciate all of your efforts.
Another notice box is dedicated to our team of referees who maintained order throughout all
155 matches held across all four divisions.
Only those who actually referee'd are mentioned. Might've missed a few names. And this box goes to the staff who go on the more... public part of the tournament, the Streams!
Now with all of them covered, it's time for us to congratulate the following players who have climbed through their competition to get the laurels of their achievement.

To the people who followed the tournament, the players who joined, and to everyone involved pretty much, Thank you very much for being part of this undertaking. The success we had isn't possible if it were not for all of our efforts together. Until next time! (And hopefully we can actually get osu!taiko be part of this)
