Circle Size wont stay as i put it

So im new to osu and i don’t like the circles so i change it to 5
and it stays at 5 i finish playing the map but then it says “update to latest version”
I update and play the map again and the circle size goes back to its
original size (big) someone please help :(

Hi, it is not possible to submit scores after editing a ranked map.
If you want to create a difficulty for practice purposes or whatever, create a new difficulty while editing the difficulty and decline the question whether you want to clear all notes or not.
You can make your changes in this new difficulty and save it.
It will show as not submitted and all scores you do on it will only be local.

The reason it says update is because you just edited the map and it now thinks you are using an older version of it! If you edited the map you are effiectly playing a different map to everyone else and you will not gain a score from the map as you have changed it.
