MS Paint Adventures is a collection of webcomics by Andrew Hussie that parody classic interactive fiction games. Despite the name, only the first page was created in MS Paint. The rest of the series was created in Photoshop. Problem Sleuth, so far the only completed adventure in the collection, featured animated .gif pages. Homestuck, the current adventure, and by far the longest, has both animated .gif pages, Flash animations, games and interactive panels, all of which feature music by a specific music team organized by Andrew Hussie. This is the only adventure to feature music specifically made for it.

Homestuck is possibly one of the most popular webcomics of our time, averaging 600,000 unique hits every day with Project Wonderful ads that peak at over $100. One particularly infamous example of it's popularity is the Flash animation [S] Cascade. The Flash was extremely important to the story, the end of an act that spanned over one year, and the traffic would surely cause the website to crash. Over 13 minutes in length, it nearly cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to host on the website. To avoid this, Hussie asked Tom Fulp, creator of Newgrounds, to host it on his website. However, the sheer traffic to host it on Newgrounds crashed it, so Andrew Hussie instead hosted it on the late Megaupload, until the traffic caused Megaupload to crash. Hussie described the event as "the internet can't handle me."

The discography of Homestuck is indescribable. Spanning over 22 albums with 421 songs as of this writing by various artists, it's discography has been expanding since 2009. The genres range from rock, chiptune, jazz, and just about everything else. I haven't even listened to the entire discography myself. It actually surprises me there no project has been started yet, given it's size and popularity.

Admittedly, I feel like a tool for confronting this project because Homestuck is EVERYWHERE today, and I have all but stopped reading it as I've come to find it too much of a mess of characters and story, and personally I would recommend reading Problem Sleuth instead. BUT! The entire discography is too kick ass to just pass up and I'd like to see what experienced mappers can do with it. Many songs have already been mapped, but all of them are graved and abandoned, and the majority are from new mappers or mappers that are not dedicated enough to rank/approve their maps. However, I believe that by starting and organizing a project, I hope that more dedicated and high quality mappers, even those who have not even heard of Homestuck, will find a song they like in the discography and map it.

All of it's discography is hosted on Bandcamp, where you can listen to any album and song for free, view it's artist and track time, and purchase them for download. The album you will first be presented with is the dual album coloUrs and mayhem: Universe B, the most recent album, although it would be best to start from the compilation album Homestuck Vol. 1-4

Here are two tracks that are widely considered to be the best in the comic, and beatmapped the most often: Sburban Jungle and Black. Listen to them first if you'd like a taste, although they by no means define the rest of the albums!

Anyone can claim any song, no requirements. Just be sure that you're willing to drive your map to get ranked. I'm willing to mod any maps in the project, and likely kudosu star it if I find it's high quality, and also possibly make a guest difficulty. I will likely drive this project as much as possible because I want something from this amazing soundtrack ranked, so let's see if we can get enough maps to get one or two packs, eh?

I was going to make a section for already submitted and graved maps but I'm laaazyyyyyyy. The Showtime map was one of the first maps I played and it's also one of my favorites.

I'm going to organize a collab for Cascade sometime in the (faroff) future, where basically we'll just split up parts of the song and anyone can claim it, so those timing points should come in handy once that's gets around. We're not going to have a video attached because fuck that noise it'll be like 30 mb.

Oh man, Homestuck beatmap project! This will probably give me the motivation to revive Sunslammer and finally finish adding hitsounds to Requiem of Sunshine and Rainbows, haha.

The purpose of this project is to provide motivation for getting maps ranked (obviously because we'll never get the entire discography mapped) and if we get at least 10 maps ranked, we get a pack!

Also, my Doctor map has been submitted, and I'm going to unclaim mIrAcLeS for now and claim Nic Cage Song. I have a storyboard in mind for Nic Cage Song that I think everyone will like.

Well, it's been 4 years now and Homestuck has officially ended. I have a feeling that there is a LOT more music than what's on this post now. A huge album and the biggest album to date. More of a music dump than anything, so it has a lot of crappy songs, but it has quite a few hidden gems. Also has a lot of Doctor remixes that kind of suck, but Doctor is a really really good song (that I claimed) so it's not really a surprise. Also, this album has a hilarious parody cover of "How Do I Live" by LeAnn Rimes because of it's appearance in Con Air which Homestuck lampoons mercilessly.

The Felt

A wonderful album that gives all of The Felt their own themes. It's very orchestral-sounding. Most tracks have some sort of reference towards time travel (rewinding, fast forwarding, etc.) as almost all of The Felt have time travelling abilities. I actually recommend listening to this entire album while doing some sort of other activity that isn't playing osu!, it's easily one of the best albums. Also, if you're wondering what's up with Omelette Sandwich, it's Eggs' theme, as he has no actual time traveling abilities. So he just fast forwards a radio playing his theme.

Oh, and the album art is beautiful. I want someone to map a track just so they can use the full res album art.

A pretty good album with a few mappable tracks. Also has a couple of joke songs, such as "Nic Cage Song", "Horsechestra", "GameBro (Original 1990 Mix) and a ridiculous cover of "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" by Aerosmith, all of which are pretty much mappable. The rest of it is alright. Umbral Ultimatum is something that would make a crazy collab. I highly highly recommend you listen to Nic Cage Song.

The "Cascade" album. A 13 minute track with multiple sections. Really, despite being a pretty big album, everyone just cares about Cascade. It would overall make an intense marathon collab, but I'm pretty sure it would be hell to time, and enough interest needs to be put into it. It could fall through easily, but if it actually makes it all the way through, it would be on hell of a map. I haven't listened to the rest of the album.

Also, each track has it's own album art, and a lot of it pretty good looking.
