A stream with in-/decreasing spacing on every objecty

Is there a way to make a stream that in-/decreases spacing on every object without using the standard distance snap?
Note: I know how to make a stream using a slider so you don't have to explain this to me.

Well, not really. The only way to "somehow" do that is to mark an entire stream, use the Scale command and remove either the x or y-axis component of the scale command, depending on where your stream is located:


If you want a certain shape though this is not going to help in any way and all shapes produced with this method will sort of look like a parable.

For specific shapes simply map a slider in the shape you want and then manually add the circles while adjusting DS with each circle (grid snap off of course) and delete the slider when you are done.
