I would turn this into a circle and a 1/1 slider so that you can click the downbeat.

00:31:410 (4,6) - Make these the same slider with ctrl + c and ctrl + v. The sounds are very similar so the sliders should be the same.

00:38:795 (3) - The ending of this slider is on a strong beat. I think it should be a 1/1 slider and a circle to emphasize the beat.

:48:718 (5,6) - This overlap looks weird to be. Maybe turn the slider around?

00:18:026 (3,1) - Improve blanket?

01:10:179 (1) - 1/1 reverse to represent the very prominent vocals here. Imo the vocals should be mapped here since they're so emphasized in the song.

01:11:590 - Circle here if you change it

01:12:026 (3) - Just a suggestion but maybe change it to a 1/2 slider with 2 repeats

00:13:987 (1,2) - I don't think don't agree with these being kicksliders. These are the same sounds as 00:14:449 (1,2,3) which are circles. Also feels bizzare to have 00:14:333 as a slider end and the only unclickable sound in the rhythm. 01:12:949 (1,1,2) - I would suggest to make these different shapes. Because 01:12:949 (1) is so different to 01:13:872 (1,2) when you map these the same (vertical sliders) it feels rather bland imo when playing because nothing becomes distinctive.

    - No setups for the combo colors? Might wanna plan for at least three colors befitting the objects as far as I know.
    - The difficulty spread in-between Normal and Hard is poorly executed. The objective is that the fundamentals between those two difficulties is the rhythm composition. The normal difficulty barely uses 1/2 notes and the hard difficulty exceedingly uses 1/4 and 1/3 notes overtime, which is way overdone. You could also see the huge composition/density difference that is clearly not consecutive between the two difficulties: Normal, Hard (01:15:718 - ). As well as for the note density objective, the hard difficulty is much forced in distance spacing which also normal barely does it. To rearrange the spread accurately, either diminish the enforced rhythms on the Hard difficulty (which technically shouldn't be too similar as the Insane). Or increase the use of 1/2 notes in the Normal difficulty (it would kinda devalue how the normal would suppose to be played, but it's worth a try).

[- - Easy - -]
  1. 00:01:872 (1) - Could've tried flipping this slider horizontally for a smoother structure between the next and previous notes for this slider.
  2. 00:09:256 (1) - Not a fan of a pattern that's overusing linear sliders very often, but telling you this just in case there are some patterns that don't look a bit appealing in aesthetics. Let's take this one for example; rather than sticking with straighten sliders, you could try something different like a curve or a sharp. Wouldn't recommend the complex ones, keeping things simple for an easy diffculty.
  3. 00:46:179 (3,4) - I might have a thought of the upbeat on 00:46:641 - sounds quite primitive to be clickable. Maybe you could try to Ctrl + G these two notes to represent a better rhythm and following both song track and vocals more correctly.
  4. 01:02:795 (1,2,3) - Pretty much the same issue as lacking aesthetics and compelling sliders. Wouldn't mind mentioning it again, there are more of them further on.
  5. 01:12:487 (2,1) - To be honest, I'm not really sure if stacks are friendly enough to implement in an easy difficulty. Just saying this if you want to consider changing it for visibility, not a must-fix like any other though.
  6. 01:30:026 (3,5) - If this tiny overlap is intended, I wouldn't complain. But this doesn't seem to be so... Maybe splitting these two circles out will keep them a little more clear despite the low approach rate of this difficulty.

  1. 00:12:949 (1) - The long slider here should probably need more tweaks over its sider point placements in my point of view. Trying something else than the current one would do best, here's a sample if you may need some influence while you wanna try something different than this one in order to improve.
  2. 00:24:026 (4,5) - Not really recommended, but like any other mapper would do here is redoing the slider here and flow towards the next circle. Like curving it above to circle (5) for example. But in the other hand, I don't suggest blankets. You know what you can do here...
  3. 00:39:718 (1) - Is this... on purpose? ... It might be a bug, or it's just me.
  4. 00:57:256 (3) - This slider kinda repelled a sufficient structure flowing a bit smooth, well this should probably be considered. At least moving the curve of this slider to its opposite direction would fix the thing here. Because currently, it doesn't look appealing as any other pattern.
  5. 01:41:564 (3,5) - You could've tried curving these two sliders, rather than sticking with one pattern just as 01:30:487 (4,6) - . Just... trying to explain what variation could do, but nyeh...

[- - Xiaotruck - -]
  1. 00:18:949 (2,3) - 00:22:641 (2,3) - Shouldn't these two circles technically be stacked rather than (3) & (4) of the notes? The intensity diffential here flows way different than 00:17:102 (2,3,4) -. So I would actually prefer that note density when it comes to stacking circles. That might be some consistency issue as well.
  2. 00:21:718 (4) - You might've tried to use another kind of slider shape that could represent the track substance here. So rather than using a casual straight slider, you could possibly try a complexity shape if you have a curve or sharp turn of sliders in mind. Might use this as a sample, if you wanna try something different.
  3. 00:29:564 - Starting from this section, the vocals mainstreams the snap division of 1/3 rather than 1/4. So most of your 1/4 notes are literally undermapped for audibility reason. Alike these notes 00:30:833 (2) -, 00:31:872 (3,4,5,6,7,8) -, 00:35:102 (1,2,3) -, 00:36:487 (6,7,8) - and every similar parts of the track is actually 1/3 even while hearing this whole song track on 75% or 50% playback rate. I would highly recommend you to redo the compound rhythm composition that's being mapped here.
  4. 00:46:179 - Precisely the same thing for the 1/3 snapping. Recheck the section here.
  5. 00:54:372 (2,3,4) - Re-adjusted the volume setting to hear this part, and the rhythm composition here sounds seriously out of context. Like it's supposed to be Ctrl + G'd or rearranged for the triple notes landed on 00:54:718 - but instead added a slider covering the potential beats after all. But yeah, Ctrl + G 00:54:487 (3,4) - for a suitable rhythm over this one. Or maybe you could try something else out.
  6. 01:05:102 (2,3,4,5) - No wonder why the note density created a big spike here. Since you've used a five-notes stream previously, why is this a reduction? It doesn't look like you're trying to follow the kick on the red tick or the vocals starting on 01:05:218 - or 01:05:449 - . This is technically near overmap to be honest.
  7. 01:06:487 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - 01:08:333 (1,2) - Just as the previous issue about the 1/3 snapping, and these two parts of the song track sounds absolutely clear of 1/3. So it's that.
  8. 01:09:833 (5,6) - Just in case you want to keep the triples for yourself, and not for the players of course. The triple here should actually start on 01:09:949 -, by listening to the hi-hats on the background you might notice the sound of it.
  9. 01:16:756 (5) - 01:24:141 (5) - The head of the slider doesn't really follow something specific as far as I can hear in slower playback rate and volume increase. Would Ctrl + G with the (4) & (5) notes in order to befit the rhythm composition alongside the song track for this two parts.
  10. 01:19:641 (2) - 01:27:026 (2) - Oh well, it's definitely tiresome pointing out undermapped stuffs all over this difficulty but hey, it's worth mentioning. So getting to the point, what does the two notes suppose to follow? The circle after seems to follow the start of the kicks/snares track, so the two circles here are quite concerning that it's mapped on nothing.
  11. 01:30:487 (1,3) - 01:34:179 (1,3) - 01:37:872 (1,3) - Ah, I get to see complete slider overlaps regardless of the approach rate and appearance. But to assure you of something that's merely close to unrankability, there's a rule about it that should probably be unavoidable. So after reading the last sentence of the last rule, you may wanna at least try overlapping the other way around by moving or rotating, whatever ways to counter this issue.
  12. 01:41:564 (1,2,3) - I find this the same this for the lack of aesthetics on the previous two difficulties. Not actually THAT bad to be honest, but it kinda needs more tweaking for the sliders though. They don't seem quite appealing as the previous structures.

  1. 00:14:333 - Might wanna start the streaming circles here for the drum toms in the song track, rather than starting it off by a lift of a sliderkick.
  2. 00:35:564 (1,2) - There is a possible triple here with a beat on 00:35:795 - and by the sound of the vocals maybe. Not precisely sure, but you could also map it out here if you heard any of it.
  3. 01:03:718 (1,2,1,2) - Ehh, since you stick with one pattern and moved it out a bit top right. I might think you may need to change a few structures here rather than repeating itself. Like, doing it four times and consisting it is totally okay since the music is measured by four tracks. But with somewhat the density of the song and density differentials may also be a subject here. So to represent variations and create an emphasis with the song track other than sticking to one pattern all the time, you may want to try something else like curving the sliders mentioned or change placements etc. There are many ways to do so.
  4. 01:29:564 (1) - Obviously an unsnapped slider tail. Self-explanatory.

  5. 01:16:756 (5) - 01:24:141 (5) - The head of the slider doesn't really follow something specific as far as I can hear in slower playback rate and volume increase. Would Ctrl + G with the (4) & (5) notes in order to befit the rhythm composition alongside the song track for this two parts.
  6. 01:19:641 (2) - 01:27:026 (2) - Oh well, it's definitely tiresome pointing out undermapped stuffs all over this difficulty but hey, it's worth mentioning. So getting to the point, what does the two notes suppose to follow? The circle after seems to follow the start of the kicks/snares track, so the two circles here are quite concerning that it's mapped on nothing. The beginning of the wub sound starts from the two points you mentioned.

00:25:410 (1) - What are you following here, vocals? Because you were following the instrumental throughout the beginning and the part before this, might wanna stick with only following either vocals or only instrumental. Made 2 1/1 slider

  1. Ok so your current background has weird dimensions, I changed the image size to match a more appropriate size: https://puu.sh/wBugh/e07717e627.jpg Keep in mind there's nothing wrong with your current background but having a relatable resolution helps reduce any distortion.
  2. There are no combo colours set for almost all the diffs... weird, since you could definetely do some cool stuff with the current background.Here are some colours that I think will fit the map very well... of course if you want to use your own feel free too.
  3. Having no hitsounds is unrankable, make sure to add some!
  4. Your spread is too uneven you will need a Advanced diff from the ranges 2.3* to 2.7* that gradually introduces new concepts and patterns to make it easier to advance from normal to hard (right now the difference is too big)

Timing
  1. Your timing is miles off, the correct offset is 44, this is especially noticable in moments like here 00:14:813 - or the kiai start


Easy

  • Side Note: You could add some volume control to the diff, for example setting the kiai to 80% volume rather than having a constant 50% through out the map when sections like these 00:00:026 (1) - are quieter.
  1. 00:01:872 (1) - ok so to start off your NC's are all messed up... the downbeat happens at 00:03:718 (3) - yet you for some reason NC the 3rd note into the map, when nothing really new comes up. 1. The sound you're underlining here doesn't really need underlining and 2. It would make more sense NC in some consistent way, i.e. you started off with a nc at 00:00:026 (1) - and for the next moments there's never a NC on those similar sounds again, so what I recommend you do is to delete this NC 00:01:872 (1) - and start a NC here 00:03:718 (3) - that way this will be consistent and will make sense with the downbeat. To even add to that you do this here 00:14:795 (1) - so why not previously. Plus on top of that for this repeat sldier and future ones you could change it's slider shape to make it stand out (see changing slider shapes can be a very good way to tell the player that something new/unpredictable is coming up) rather than spamming uneccesary nc's. You could make the shape something similar to 00:05:564 (1) - to keep the theme of the sound representation. This ofc goes for this one and future ones.
  2. 00:05:564 (1) - you could ctrl + j this and rotate it a little for better flow, since the player is already forced to go down with his cursor because of how 00:04:641 (4) - is facing, so making it go the same direction makes it awkward and weird.
  3. 00:08:333 (4,1) - fix your spacing, it's off a little. Does it matter? Not at all lol
  4. 01:10:179 (1) - you could ctrl+h this for much better flow, keep in mind that this is a easy so you're not testing the player, you're "leading" them through the diff
  5. 01:13:872 (1) - you could rotate by -15* for better flow onto the next objects tbf
  6. 01:17:564 (1) - you could be more creative with this slider to account for the sounds on this slider. Imo this works really well
  7. 01:24:949 (1,2) - why all of a sudden change the rhythm here? you could have done what you done here for the sound 01:17:564 (1) -, although if you are going with vocals it becomes really inconsistent when you have 2 circles and 1 sldier leading into the next measure 01:27:718 (5,1) - rather than what was happening constantly through out the kiai 01:19:410 (3,4) - . Please fix this since the vocal you are trying to emphaise on 01:26:333 - might as well be a circle to keep consistency. Also on top of that this is especially noticable here 01:28:641 (1) - since everytime you mapped a 2/1 slider to the long vocal and extended sound on the slider... this time you didn't yet nothing crucial happened in the song.
  8. 01:31:872 (5,1) - why move this up? you could have kept the flow straight and it would have been good too. Don't see any reason moving this note up a little, just makes the flow a bit more sharper.
  9. 01:32:333 (1) - same with the slider shape ^

  1. 00:01:872 (1) - same stuff with the NC's as in the easy diff suggestion.
  2. 00:04:410 (2) - ugh this note is overmapped, it doesn't follow the song at all, there's not drum hits, no noticeable pitch changes nor any vocals. Remove this as well as the other similar patterns.
  3. 00:19:410 (2) - shoudn't this be circles as well if you're following vocals using circles? I'm comparing to 00:15:718 (2,3) - and 00:17:564 (2,3) -
  4. 00:28:410 (5) - remove this note it's too dense rhythm for a normal diff, I suggest changing this whole rhythm here 00:27:718 (4,5,6) - into something less dense and that clearly follows the vocals. Try this rhythm it fits very well and isn't as dense as the other one. Such dense rhythms in normals should be avoided since the player needs time to adjust to multiple notes at a time. Players at this stage need what's called "breathing time" to allow them to have some sort of rest before the next pattern, in some way or another. This is especially noticable in Easy diffs, but it still follows onto the Normal diffs, but with more ease.
  5. 00:44:333 (1) - hmm I suggest making the next following rhythms something far less dense, since the section kind of dies out, vocals get softer and you can't hear as many strong sounds as you did before... [url=https://puu.sh/wBxfb/8b264fadc5.png]so I suggest using this rhythm[/ur;], since that underlines the strong sounds at 00:45:256 (2) - (where also you can hear a woodwind instrument dying out), you could do this till here 00:49:872 (4) - would be cool imo.
  6. 00:51:718 (1) - from here onwards your rhythm is very nice, although there are some inconsistencies and density from making it perfect. So let's start with this 00:53:333 (3) - shall we? I recommend you delete this note since it just bumps up the density of this calm section (something that you woudn't want). Then 00:55:410 (1) - please extend this to 6/4 like you had here 00:51:718 (1) - it fits very very well. If you do these things then rhythm from here 00:59:102 (1) - will have a much bigger impact on gameplay and changes between sections will be noticable... whilst leaving it as it is, makes it feel like nothings changed.
  7. 01:00:949 (4,6) - These feel rather randomly placed, yet you could have easily added a note inbetween on the red tick and made the 2 sliders have a mirror angle reflection. Yet you chose not to for some reason. You could do something like this, it would have automatically looked/felt nicer, plus on top of that adding a note on the red tick would emphasise the vocals a lot.
  8. 01:02:795 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - this rhythm is rather meh, what I strongly suggest is use something similar to what you used 00:59:102 (1,2,3) - and then if you applied the suggestion above do it here too 01:04:641 (4,5,6) - to make it consistent, that way the music will be represented rather nicely. Of course for this to happen you would need to do some re-aranging... but it shoudn't take long. Once you're done this section should feel 10x better.
  9. 01:03:718 (3,4) - fix this spacing, it's increased for no reason.
  10. 01:05:102 (5) - well, this slider doesn't fit here at all since the sound on it's slider end is always clickable, but for some reason not here? Use this rhythm instead to make everything stand out.
  11. 01:43:179 (6) - I recommend changing this to a 1/2 slider instead to make the rhythm less dense, since it's too dense at the current moment.

Xiaotruck's Hard

  • Side Note: Your whole map is at 5% volume, this is highly disencouraged since it provides no feedback to the player what so ever. I also think your map could get Disqualified for something like this.
  1. So from here 00:14:795 (1) - till 00:29:564 (1) - you are using very very simplicified rhythm... But why? after the 30 second mark you start using rhythms that follow the song as they should, this is bad since you should introduce the player into these rhythms first hand as soon as it's possible... whilst you're misleading them using normal 4/4 rhythm. This is especially noticable in places like 00:24:487 (2,3) - or 00:26:564 (2,3,4,5,6) - where 1/3 rhythm should be used but it isn't for some reason. The sole point of the beginning of a map is to introduce any techniques/ patterns/ rhythms as soon as it's possible, to let the player know that something is coming up and will be coming up at some point during the map. Please remap the rhythm usage until the 30 second mark so that it's 1. more consistent 2. more predictable and 3. more readable.
  2. 00:30:949 (3) - Your usage of stacks is rather inconsistent too, since this is a collab both of your styles are clashing together, causing this sort of missunderstanding between sections. The best collabs are formed when 2 or more styles are clashed together and formed into 1 very similar style, otherwise if not formed like that the map will have different styles everywhere creating a "mess". If you're wondering what i mean by these stacks... take a look at 00:30:949 (3) - it's stacked on a much much stronger sound than 00:30:795 (2) - was, yet (2) gets emphasis through spacing whilst (3) just gets ignored, another example would be here 00:38:333 (7,8) - where the vocals are very very similar intesity it was decided that one was stacked and the other wasn't, it would have made more sense if 00:37:718 (4) - was stacked since it doesn't have anything noticable on it whilst 00:38:487 (8) - does and it just makes it undermapped by doing so. I could go on naming other examples but I'm pretty sure you get the idea, remember that stacks aren't some sort of filler, they are used to emphasise objects too and otherwise it'll just go to waste unfortunatelly.
  3. 00:41:564 (4) - this has a rather important and strong sound on it's slider end, I recommend using this rhythm to emphasise that better, that way you will underline the stronger parts of the song from the weaker ones
  4. 00:47:102 (3) - see for this and all other sliders like these (00:48:949 (3) - etc.) I strongly recommend transforming them all into just a circle, since the slider end doesn't end on anything particular and the one tick sound hearable at 00:47:102 (3) - will be emphasised in that way. Also if you do change it, it'll be consistent with 00:45:256 (3) -.
  5. 00:53:564 (1,2,3) - these aren't 1/3, these are normal 3/4 rhythms.
  6. 01:08:487 (2,3) - why not make these the same rhythm as 01:06:487 (1,2,3,4) - ? nothing in the music has changed, therefore keep the rhythm the same as well, no need for nothing new.
  7. 01:11:564 (4) - except of spacing this and making it look very very out of place, do something like this, that way you will emphasise the strong parts of the song whilst keeping it aesthetically pleasing.
  8. 01:12:026 (1) - remove this NC, 01:13:410 (1) - this one too and add a NC here 01:12:949 (3) - so that you have something like this. This will provide better rhythm feedback.

Frontier's Insane

  • Side Note: There is a lot of uneccessary NC spam which I strongly recommend you remove (stuff like 00:18:026 (1) - or 00:21:718 (1) - or 00:25:410 (1) - especially stuff like 00:27:718 (1,2,1,2,1,2,3) - only NC when something major happens or there's been a long break between NC's). Please also consider muting all the slider ends hearable here for example 01:19:410 (3,3) - etc. since it's pretty annoying.
  1. 00:01:872 (1) - remove the NC, it's uneccessary, the rhythm still remains the same. Besides you kept it on the same combo here 00:05:564 (2) -
  2. 00:13:987 (1) - this plays, rather badly tbh and the NC's don't make it any easier to read as well. I recommend changing your rhythm to something like this, that way you will get the best out of playability and rhythm emphasis... so fact that you will be missing on the blue tick sound but that'll be recompensated as soon as you hit 00:14:333 (1) - because of the strong vocal and drums kicking in.
  3. 00:27:718 (1,2,1,2,1,2,3) - this looks rather messy (I'm missing out the NC's) since there are many overlaps that could easily be avoided... yet you decided to keep it as it is. Weird. Anyway if you highlight all of those objects and press ctrl + shift + s you will get the option to scale objects, scale it up to min 1.08x and everything will look much smoother. It's the fastest and easiest way to scale object and gain a very satisfying result.
  4. 00:35:564 (1) - I suggest you stack this like you did here 00:37:756 (1,2) -, plays better and feels better as well.
  5. 00:40:641 (1) - move this a bit to the left to keep the logic going with the whole pattern 00:38:795 (1,2,3,4) - , right now it looks randomly placed
  6. 00:42:487 (1,2) - fix your stacks boi
  7. 00:42:949 (4,5) - here especially
  8. 00:50:564 (1) - keep the sv the same as you did here 00:47:795 (3) -, otherwise it reads as a 1/2
  9. 00:58:179 (1,2,3) - either invest in combo hacks or NC all of these individually, it's the first time a 1/6 pattern has popped up therefore you need to underline that fact.
  10. 00:58:641 (1) - could you make this flow better with the previous 3 sliders? The previous 3 sliders forced the player to move down and up whilst this one forces to move up and down, which is very uncomfortable to hit and follow. Plus on top of that the song section still remains the same.
  11. 01:01:756 (4,5) - if you started using increased spacing for these vocals at least make it consistent! 01:00:026 (1,4) - comparing it to this stuff those ones don't make sense, vice versa.

  13. 01:02:795 (1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2) - make the slider shape changes actually mean something, right now they're just ... there? They don't really represent the music as such, whilst if you made first 4 a slightly curved shape and the last 4 a bit more sharp, it'll look much better and will feel organised too.
  14. 01:43:410 (1) - remove the NC


Final Words
  1. The kiai's in all diffs are very good, but although that is the case it doesn't change the fact that the rest of the maps weren't taken as much care of as they should have... This is especially noticable pre-kiai parts, so many inconsistencies if it's with rhythm, spacing, execution or flow. Something is never right outside of the kiai area. Take a closer look at the rest of the maps pre-kiai sections and put as much thought and effort as was put into the kiai itself... otherwise it's going to be a big mess :/
