I have a question, if I use cutting edge without support, will it affect the tournament client?

You wont be able to join the multiplayer room if you are using cutting edge without osu supporter (since you need supporter to do it anyways), not sure if we can force you in (by moving you with a command) but if I were you I would be using beta/stable

Hmmm ok, I changed to use v2 on single player, I'll have to go back to stable when I have to play then. thanks for aclaring my doubt.

Alright guys, that was it for the qualification stage! I hope you all enjoyed it as it was a lot of work been done by the whole staff to give you the best experience possible! All the participants who made it out of this round will recive a PM with all the information required for the future rounds before Tuesday 21st at 21 UTC with all the matches scheduled. Remember that if you made it into the Top16 you wont be playing in the next stage and you will advance directly into group stages. EDIT: Playoffs WEEK 1 schedule is now up, here you have it: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing
Halogen-
Preemptively making a post here: the first week of the round of 64/group stages (March 11th/March 12th) is a little bit tricky for me on account of it being my older daughter's 6th birthday.

For other rounds, 10 PM local time is a heavy preference but not a requirement; however, for the first week of this round, I'm gonna need any of my matches at 10 PM local time or later, since I'm likely not going to be around before then. Hopefully being proactive will make things as smooth as possible.

I understand how difficult scheduling this stage is going to be, that's why I'm trying to get it out there as early as I can, and I'll be communicating the best I can after the schedule is released to ensure that I can play.

With regards to the schedule listing, it should be updated in general to:
Halogen- / weekends fine: 9 10 PM local time and later preferred but not a requirement. Cannot do matches from 8 PM to 10 PM.
Toaph Daddy
Alright, for the second week of group stages (March 18/19) I will be unavailable to play matches until after 7/8 PM my time on Saturday due to a bowling tournament.

Times I'll be available UTC:

Saturday: 0:00-5:00
Sunday: 1:00-5:00

Sorry about this making it a bit complicated, but the first weekend of groups I am completely open, so any matches that can be put then would be much easier to manage.

Posting in advance: I cannot play on April 16th (unless you make me play at like midnight local time - please don't x_x), on account of it being Easter and my wife's birthday.

I have availability on Saturday throughout the day, except from between 8 PM to 10 PM local time.

I can also play between 10 PM local time Friday and 1 AM local time Saturday (i.e. schedule me at midnight local time/4 AM UTC Saturday at the latest). Contact me if this is at all confusing.

Finals Stage Schedule
-Konner-
Hey everyone, we're now at the last stage of the tournament. SOFT2 will be ending next weekend with the Grand Finals. We all hope that everyone will be able to watch the final matches of the tournament. Unfortunately the matches will be played at a very early time for a lot of players but there will be VODs on the twitch channel for you to watch.

cheetose and Asrielly will be playing the 3rd place match and the winner of that match will play against Cobo- the following day.

Cobo- came out of the winners bracket in 1st place, being the only player to not lose a match. Cobo- will be playing against the winner of the 3rd place match and has the chance to become our champion for a second time!

Also note that the winner of the 3rd place match will have to beat Cobo- twice in order to win the tournament. This means beating Cobo- in a best of 13, twice in a row!

Anyway, congrats to cheetose for taking the title of SOFT2, Cobo- as well for a really tough fight even though taking some points from cheetose, here's to SOFT3(R) <- if that will happen too, lol

Would like to say that I gained my first-time experience in commentating through some matches here, and probably I wouldn't find this opportunity somewhere else. If it hadn't been SOFT2, probably I wouldn't gain my boost up in everything, including to get to know some of the good guys. (cool staffs as well!) Definitely won't forget those memorable moments! (especially juankristal for putting the wrong nationality flag in the list of good peeps, lmao)

I will never regret being part of this tournament, not only as a player, but also as a referee. The experience that this tournament gave me is so surreal that I really wish that this won't be the last.

...and of course, Shoutouts to OsuMe65 for making me the Official Mascot of SOFT 2.

First of all, congratulations cheetose for winning the SOFT2 tournament! And of course, congratulations to Cobo- for earning 2nd place and Asrielly for getting 3rd place. Thanks everyone for participating on this (is it staff, player or just a normal viewer), it was an amazing experience that I dont think I will forget.

The profile badge should be delivered sometime soon and the supporter prices might take a little bit longer but we will try our best to set it up as fast as possible.

And this is it. SOFT2 is finally over. After one of my harder times in the game and right into my highest peak in terms of skill level. Not having the chance to commentate pretty much any games hurted me a lot personally but thats something that I am glad ended up not being too big of a problem.

I still remember the days when I was on the US missing my fly to my home and not being able to watch the map pool showcase of the qualifiers. Once again, SOFT proving that is not an easy thing to deal with. I remember scheduling all the qualifiers as if it was just yesterday, and the same thing happens when I look at "Mangekyou". Lots of memories, lots of epic matches and a lot of new people that I didnt know appeared in my path during this tournament. this is something that I dont think I will ever forget.

I seriously cant believe that it went as well as it did and this is nothing but a result of the efforts by everyone in the staff this year. I seriously have problems to understand the reason, but the amount of dedication of every single one of the guys in the staff has been mindblowing and for me its something that I really appreciate and makes me feel that we are doing the things in the right way, encouraging people to try out new stuff and delivering a good experience not for the viewers only but also to the players and new members of the "SOFT team".

And as it is a tradition right now, I will type some words for each one of you since I believe its the least I can do to thank you for all the efforts from your side.

Halogen-: This is all yours man. You created this and I only took the initiative to make this happen again but at the end of the day, the only reason why all this exist is you and you should know it. I knew since the moment of the "end" for the previous SOFT that I would be hosting this. Because I really feel this is what SOFT deserved. You put your time whenever you could to commentate the matches and jumped into the ref team too when it was needed. And not only that, you delivered not only some of the best matches but also turned yourself to be one of the crowd favourites. You are amazing dude and I hope you enjoyed the tournament from the other side just as much as I did.

Konner: Team K for the win once again but this time on the lead. You were the one who made me be more reasonable when deciding about stuff, helped me with the applications, listing all the players during the registration phase and checking everything before release. Not only that, you hoped in at the worst imaginable times to do the ref job as well and you proved to be, once again, an amazing person to have in the team.

Daikyi: You have proven once again how good is to work with you and how amazing you are at making all of us having a good time. Your commentary for long periods of time, your dedication to do all the map pool showcases you could and even helping us with the SVs in the pools shows again how much you care about this tournament and again, I am so glad to have you and all this people here working together. Your commentary, enjoyable as always and your puns being as epic too.

WalterToro: The absolute madman. I knew since I saw you hosting the first spanish tournament that you were a dedicated type of person. And jeez I was right. I think you ended up doing the ref job on more than 50% of the matches and that just speaks on its own. You were there, all the time, no matter what. If its 6 AM, 2 AM or 5 PM it was not a problem for you. The amount of effort from your side was incredible and I am really glad to have you with us. I am really looking forward for the TIM this next month and I hope it turns out to be as good as you want it to be.

-Kamikaze- and Tidek: Prykarz Chlebarz i Komnata Tortur ! And of course thats the phrase that was our insignia during the whole thing. You guys showed that you know what you are doing, and you know it better than anyone else. This tournament had an amazing map pool and your combination was the reason why this was the case. From Coinage and Silver Temple straight into the grand finals. It really felt that this was shorter than what it actually was and this is mostly because of you making this tournament an amazing experience with the most quality map pools I have seen in a long time. Thanks for teaching me a lot of stuff when it comes to map selecting and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did and the players did(n't).

Xylo-: I would love to use a Polish catchphrase for you but I really dont know any (or do I...? if you know what I mean :p). You were super helpful during the whole tournament, helping with the schedule for streamers and streaming yourself for extended periods of time and even letting me the alternative to stream on your end. Overall, you did a ton for SOFT and I am glad you found yourself the time to help here because it was really needed. Streaming the earliest times of the weekend and even doing ref eventually. Amazing job, thanks.

laughingcomet: I am surprised about you laughing. Your commentary was a blast and it was super fun to hear and your availability for streaming was incredible too. Showing of for REALLY long periods of time specially during the earlier stages is something I was not really expecting you to do with such amount of dedication. You were a saviour multiple times and SOFT owes you a lot.

adiopulse: Even when you arrived a little bit later than the rest you stepped into the hard times, your timezone proved to be really good for streaming the really late matches and you were there when it was required with an amazing "warm up" tittle each weekend. The laughs after the streams with you were also enjoyable and overall your work here has been really good.

shadowsnoop: And last but not least for the streamers team we have our lovely brazilian. Snoop, let me just start saying that you are an amazing guy and that you are such an dumbass (in a good way :p) for staying awake A WHOLE WEEKEND just to stream matches that were not clearly defined who was going to take them at the very end. Your dedication for this was way higher that any expectation and I consider myself lucky to end up meeting you just before SOFT thanks for the mentorship program. On stream, on the referee side and in any other place, you managed to do incredible.

OsuMe65: I never thought we would actually get all this fancy content before starting but you are the guy to blame for all this taking place. You managed to create the skin of the tournament and all the previews for the matches since the round of 16 and that helped a lot to improve the quality of the stream overall. I am sure everyone loved your skin and you should be proud of it since it really was a great job. I am happy that SurfChu brought you here since you are one of the main reasons for this tournament design quality. Fist for the win!

SurfChu85: You guys and your numbers make me feel really confused but hey, that doesnt really matter. As I mentioned on stream before you are one of the ones that was really excited about helping out and you really did on the early morning matches for most of the staff. And not only that you also took part as the... official mascot of the tournament? I dont really know how that ended up happening but besides everything I am sure that everyone will remember that Owl perfectly haha.

The Europe brigade (plus Ciel) for the main ref body of the tournament showing again dedication:

Eiuh stepping up when no one expected at the most odd times for all of us.
Hydria showing to give us some breaks and helping out the qualifiers.
Mathisca even tho he couldnt help that much at the ending he proved to be really proficient on the early rounds of the tourney.
Steins for being there on the really odd times too (albeit, at least 50% of Steins was there if she knows what I mean :p)
Ciel who even when holding up some events he managed to found out the time to help us in the ref side for the late night matches.

You guys did a really amazing job.

Shoegazer: The man with the numbers, the hero that we all need was there for us to provide once again the statistics and the spreadsheets required to make everything so much easier. And not only that, even showing himself to commentate some of the matches on his own will just for the sake of SOFT. I mentioned multiple times how much I respect you and how much I think you mean for all the tournament even tho you want to say it really isnt that big of a deal. You better know it was, you did an amazing job and again, thanks a ton for all your work this year once again!

Gazelle: Man, we both need to get some new computers or something because this client might be too much to handle! Besides the fact that we never really talk too much besides SOFT you agreed almost instantly on getting back and commentating once again. You did a great job helping out on the matches you could take even with some of the problems your computer experienced. Thanks for coming back and having fun with us in the commentary team and I hope we can talk more often!

The new voice of SOFT with a lot of people this year and let me start by saying this; you guys did an outstanding job this year and I am really looking forward for you doing more of this in the future (on SOFT 3 or in any other place really):

Rem being there again for odd times for the most of us and even with some issues on his setups he managed to come out decently.
Elah creating one of the most amazing memes I have ever seen in my life commentary wise (and yes, I am talking about Coinage) combined with really fun but also really good commentary.
XeoStyle for being there as well in the european times bringing up the hype he had since the french tournament.
[ Vento ] for putting so much time on this and showing up every single time he could delivering the calm commentary (which is apparently something common on Sweden I shall say) and the hate to ALEFY songs.
Guilhermeziat who had some issues to join the team at first but me cordialy forcing asking him to commentate ended up on him enjoying this so much and providing amazing moments and in depth commentary.
TheToaphster for being the next generation of cursing (watch out, this guy is a SERIOUS threat) and of course showing off what he is capable of when it comes to talking about strategy and play by play (even solo casting sometimes) commentary.

And with all this being said, I hope I see all of you next year for SOFT3(R)! If there is something I learned is that this legacy will not die anytime soon and if its not me hosting this the next year there will be someone else here to take it. For now, wish you all good luck and again, thanks for all the support and effort. I really hope this tournament gave you an awesome experience just as it did to me.
