hello m4m mod req
column: |1|2|3|4|5|
sparkle!
00:24:788 (24788|2) - move to 1 becuase 1column is a really empty space , so you can this note move 1 column and feeling strong snare note pattern change the other patern instead
00:27:874 - this section need to 00:27:531 - same note like https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7021725 i think that this section is intended but it is my suggestion :D
01:59:760 (119760|1,119760|0) - why using double note? cymbal. you didnt hear it ?
02:59:931 (179931|0) - move to 2
03:00:103 (180103|1) - move to 1
03:00:617 (180617|0) - move to 2
03:01:303 (181303|1) - move to 1
05:10:046 (310046|2) - move to 5 <<noting really change :/

2017-01-12 23:26 Minseo2000: well I messaged you since I was going to mod your map and you happened to be online
2017-01-12 23:27 Minseo2000: I was wondering if I could irc with you for a while for your mod request if you aren't too busy
2017-01-12 23:27 Frim4503: ok
2017-01-12 23:28 Frim4503: im fine with irc

2017-01-12 23:28 Frim4503: ACTION is editing [http://osu.ppy.sh/b/977863 CINDERELLA PROJECT - Shine!! (you remix) [Sparkle!!]]
2017-01-12 23:28 Minseo2000: yup
2017-01-12 23:29 Minseo2000: since you wanted help on SVs, I will center this mod on SVs
2017-01-12 23:29 Frim4503: ok
2017-01-12 23:30 Frim4503: just wirte it all
2017-01-12 23:30 Minseo2000: 00:22:046 - ~ 00:22:388 - the SV in this section can feel somewhat choppy due to the tiny 3x at the start of it
2017-01-12 23:30 Minseo2000: rather than a fast note falling down, it's more like a teleport note
2017-01-12 23:31 Minseo2000: though not very big, it is also a slight speedup of 1.03x
2017-01-12 23:31 Minseo2000: I recommend that you use a 1/4-based SV instead of a 1/8-based on for a smoother SV (does not really change readability)
2017-01-12 23:31 Minseo2000: one suggestion will be to
2017-01-12 23:32 Minseo2000: (while keeping similar values)
2017-01-12 23:32 Minseo2000: 00:22:046 - 2.5
2017-01-12 23:32 Minseo2000: 00:22:131 - 0.5
2017-01-12 23:32 Minseo2000: 00:22:388 - 1
2017-01-12 23:33 Frim4503: ok
2017-01-12 23:33 Frim4503: keep going
2017-01-12 23:33 Minseo2000: okay
2017-01-12 23:33 Minseo2000: 00:42:960 - ~ 00:44:331 - the SVs in this section can be quite hard to read due to the SVs being somewhat unpredictable
2017-01-12 23:34 Minseo2000: 00:43:646 - ~ 00:44:331 - these little changes have values seemingly random, thus very hard to predict accurately
2017-01-12 23:35 Minseo2000: instead of this, i suggest that you make a 0.5x, or 0.6x-based slowjam with stutters at 00:43:646 - ~ 00:44:331 -
2017-01-12 23:36 Minseo2000: one suggestion will be to
2017-01-12 23:36 Minseo2000: 00:42:960 - 0.5x
2017-01-12 23:37 Minseo2000: 00:43:646 - 0.49x
2017-01-12 23:37 Minseo2000: 00:43:731 - 0.01x
2017-01-12 23:37 Minseo2000: 00:43:817 - 0.49x
2017-01-12 23:37 Minseo2000: 00:43:903 - 0.01x
2017-01-12 23:37 Minseo2000: 00:43:988 - 0.49x
2017-01-12 23:37 Minseo2000: 00:44:074 - 0.01x
2017-01-12 23:37 Minseo2000: 00:44:160 - 0.49x
2017-01-12 23:37 Minseo2000: 00:44:246 - 0.01x
2017-01-12 23:39 Minseo2000: if you find that the scroll speed is too fast to see the effects of the stutter, you can try changing the SV values at 00:42:960 - 00:43:646 - 00:43:817 - 00:43:988 - 00:44:160 - by an equal amount (to ensure predictability)
2017-01-12 23:39 Frim4503: done
2017-01-12 23:40 Minseo2000: 00:56:331 - ~ 00:56:674 - something similar to the first SVs I pointed out
2017-01-12 23:42 Frim4503: if you can please give me a suggestion where i should add new sv
2017-01-12 23:42 Minseo2000: okay
2017-01-12 23:42 Minseo2000: 00:55:817 - ~ 00:56:331 - it might be nice if you add it here
2017-01-12 23:42 Minseo2000: 00:56:331 - since the sound here
2017-01-12 23:43 Minseo2000: is almost as intense as at 00:56:674 -
2017-01-12 23:43 Minseo2000: or you can simply start it at 00:55:988 -
2017-01-12 23:44 Minseo2000: a suggestion for 00:55:817 - ~ 00:56:331 - will be...
2017-01-12 23:45 Minseo2000: 00:55:817 - 1.25x
2017-01-12 23:45 Minseo2000: 00:56:160 - 0.5x
2017-01-12 23:45 Minseo2000: alternatively
2017-01-12 23:45 Minseo2000: you can have an SV spanning from 00:55:988 - ~ 00:56:331 -
2017-01-12 23:46 Minseo2000: a suggestion will be...
2017-01-12 23:46 Minseo2000: 00:55:988 - 3.01x
2017-01-12 23:46 Minseo2000: 00:56:074 - 0.33x
2017-01-12 23:47 Frim4503: seems good for me :}
2017-01-12 23:47 Minseo2000: o.o)b
2017-01-12 23:48 Minseo2000: 00:59:417 - ~ 01:00:617 - the SVs here are generally unreadable due to the slowjam it causes
2017-01-12 23:48 Frim4503: i have a plenty of ideas about the sv but idk the value
2017-01-12 23:48 Minseo2000: I recommend that you tweak some values to make the SVs equalize to 1x overall for better readability
2017-01-12 23:48 Minseo2000: one solution will be to...
2017-01-12 23:49 Minseo2000: change all 0.4x in the section to 0.8x
2017-01-12 23:49 Minseo2000: another solution will be to change all 1.2x to 1.8x
2017-01-12 23:49 Minseo2000: *1.6x
2017-01-12 23:50 Minseo2000: not 1.8x (oops typo)
2017-01-12 23:51 Frim4503: 1.6x right ?
2017-01-12 23:51 Minseo2000: yep
2017-01-12 23:51 Minseo2000: or if you want to use 1.8x
2017-01-12 23:51 Minseo2000: you have the change the 0.4x into 0.2x as well
2017-01-12 23:51 Minseo2000: one simple way of making readable SVs is to split a section into two, and make SVs that add up to 2
2017-01-12 23:52 Frim4503: it's getting complicated :/
2017-01-12 23:52 Minseo2000: so if a section spans from 00:59:417 - ~ 00:59:760 -
2017-01-12 23:52 Minseo2000: split it into two
2017-01-12 23:52 Minseo2000: so the middle is 00:59:588 -
2017-01-12 23:52 Minseo2000: put one SV at 00:59:417 -
2017-01-12 23:52 Minseo2000: and another at 00:59:588 -
2017-01-12 23:52 Minseo2000: and make sure that the two SVs add up to 2
2017-01-12 23:52 Minseo2000: that's the simplest form
2017-01-12 23:53 Minseo2000: 0.4 + 1.6 = 2, 0.2 + 1.8 = 2, 1.2 + 0.8 = 2
2017-01-12 23:55 Frim4503: done
2017-01-12 23:55 Minseo2000: oki
2017-01-12 23:55 Minseo2000: moving on
2017-01-12 23:56 Minseo2000: 01:06:103 - ~ 01:06:960 - since you did add SVs for most synth hit sections, you might want to add some here as well
2017-01-12 23:57 Minseo2000: do you wish to try it yourself with what I just told you, or just have me give you suggestions?
2017-01-12 23:58 Frim4503: your suggestion plz :)
2017-01-12 23:58 Minseo2000: okay :P
2017-01-12 23:58 Minseo2000: one suggestion will be...
2017-01-12 23:58 Minseo2000: 01:06:103 - 1.2x
2017-01-12 23:58 Minseo2000: 01:06:360 - 0.4x
2017-01-12 23:58 Minseo2000: 01:06:446 - 1.6x
2017-01-12 23:58 Minseo2000: 01:06:531 - 0.4x
2017-01-12 23:59 Minseo2000: 01:06:617 - ~ 01:06:960 - 1.6x and 0.4x repeat
2017-01-12 23:59 Minseo2000: (use 1/4 as the base unit)
2017-01-13 00:02 Frim4503: done
2017-01-13 00:04 Minseo2000: 01:37:817 - ~ 01:39:874 - i feel that the SVs in this section spans for way too long
2017-01-13 00:04 Minseo2000: 01:39:017 - ~ 01:39:874 - this part in particular has an SV over 2 measures long
2017-01-13 00:04 Minseo2000: most players will only start to notice the SVs at around 01:39:360 - here
2017-01-13 00:05 Frim4503: this just suggestion from my friend
2017-01-13 00:05 Minseo2000: I suggest that you simply keep the SV sections 1/1 or 3/2 long since any more seems redundant
2017-01-13 00:06 Minseo2000: e.g. 01:37:817 - 1x 01:37:988 - 1.2x 01:38:246 - 0.4x 01:38:331 - 1x 01:38:674 - 1.2x 01:38:931 - 0.4x 01:39:017 - 1x 01:39:531 - 1.2x 01:39:788 - 0.4x 01:39:874 - 1x
2017-01-13 00:06 Minseo2000: alternatively
2017-01-13 00:07 Minseo2000: 01:37:817 - 1.3x 01:38:160 - 0.4x 01:38:331 - 1x 01:38:503 - 1.3x 01:38:846 - 0.4x 01:39:017 - 1x 01:39:360 - 1.3x 01:39:703 - 0.4x 01:39:874 - 1x
2017-01-13 00:15 Minseo2000: ummm
2017-01-13 00:16 Frim4503: wait
2017-01-13 00:16 Frim4503: i miss 1 line xD
2017-01-13 00:16 Minseo2000: :P
2017-01-13 00:16 Minseo2000: well
2017-01-13 00:16 Minseo2000: it is getting pretty late at where i am, so i would like to stop my mod here for now
2017-01-13 00:17 Minseo2000: i will continue where i dropped off on another date
2017-01-13 00:17 Minseo2000: is that okay?
2017-01-13 00:17 Frim4503: ok
2017-01-13 00:17 Frim4503: just post this chat on thread
2017-01-13 00:17 Minseo2000: well
2017-01-13 00:18 Minseo2000: i will just post it together with the continued mod
2017-01-13 00:18 Minseo2000: is it okay if i return to this mod 22 hours later?
2017-01-13 00:18 Frim4503: thats ok
2017-01-13 00:18 Frim4503: yup
2017-01-13 00:18 Minseo2000: on a second thought
2017-01-13 00:19 Minseo2000: i'll just add you and i'll just poke you when i see you online
2017-01-13 00:19 Minseo2000: and i'll just poke you again 22 hours later if i can't find you
2017-01-13 00:19 Frim4503: ok
2017-01-13 00:19 Minseo2000: is that okay?
2017-01-13 00:19 Minseo2000: okay
2017-01-13 00:19 Minseo2000: then i'll see you again soon

rest of the mod
This mod will mostly only refer to previous sections as the issues are pretty much recurrent.

1|2|3|4|5

01:44:674 - ~ 01:45:017 - SVs are quite unreadable as it creates a speedup of 1.13. I recommend you to either change the 1.5xs into 1.25xs or 0.75xs into 0.5xs

01:45:017 - ~ 01:46:046 - Similar to 00:42:960 - ~ 00:44:331 -

01:54:274 - ~ 01:55:988 - This part does not have SVs despite having those loud synth+drums you've added SVs for (reference : 01:26:846 - ~ 01:27:703 - )

01:56:331 - ~ 01:57:017 - Not very readable SVs. Refer 01:26:846 - ~01:27:703 - as they are quite similar (1/2 spacing and 1/1 spacing)

02:07:646 - ~ 02:07:988 - Refer to 00:22:046 - ~ 00:22:388 -

02:21:703 - ~ 02:22:903 - Refer to 00:59:417 - ~ 01:00:617 - (Additionally, you should either add at LN at 02:22:903 - , or remove the LN from 01:00:617 - for consistency)

02:28:388 - ~ 02:29:246 - Refer to 01:06:103 - ~ 01:06:960 - (and 01:06:960 - and its corresponding part in this section should have a 1x instead of a 1.6x)

03:00:103 - ~ 03:02:160 - Same as the part mentioned at the end of irc mod

03:06:960 - ~ 03:08:331 - Return to beginning of the forum mod.

I will stop my mod here as the same parts repeats again.

Do refer to this useful guide to SVs for some guides on SVs.
And do feel free to poke me ingame if you need further help.

thank you for the mod

Can you at least find the BG which isnt stretched. They're ugly af :<

and the metadata reference? where did you took it (kinda lazy with everything that idolmaster related tbh)

1|2|3|4|5

00:18:446 - This part is kinda overwhelming. the fact that you mapped it hand balancely in the section before and suddenly its right hand oriented is just triggered me. In conclusion this might do better

it creates some antifllow(?) effect that looks quite nice when played tho.

^ Notice that the first double note is on |12| and to prevent the hand balance issues, you could ctrl+h this guys - 00:16:560 (16560|0,16560|2,16646|4,16731|1,16817|3,16903|2,16903|0,16903|1,17074|4,17074|3,17246|2,17246|1,17417|3,17417|4,17588|1,17588|0,17760|2,17760|3,17931|1,17931|0,18103|3,18103|4,18274|0,18274|1,18274|2) -

00:22:046 (22046|3) - i suppose one C already cover the impact perfectly and audible so you could delete this
applied to all similar things

00:39:188 (39188|2) - personal prefer. might do better on 1 for less strain for right hands at least

00:44:331 (44331|0) - hey think this could be more coolio with W too? some kick samples could be hearded apparently

00:45:017 (45017|3) - uh... I dont understand why are this W with normal sampleset. personally that this "prit prit" sounds is not even related with the song instruments at all.
would be best choice if you leave this empty or find other way around
applied to all similar things i suppose

01:26:846 (86846|2) - move to 2. give some mercy to right thumb players or smth pls (less strain)

01:56:160 (116160|4,116246|4,116331|2,116331|3) - this is quite troublesome to achieve 300G due to the minijack. swap column this - 01:56:331 (116331|2,116503|1,116674|1) - might do better

03:11:674 (191674|3) - i dont understand why is this here. its the only one note that follow the 3sequence synth but the other part you didnt do it. tl;dr delete that note

03:32:674 (212674|0,212674|2,212674|3) - how about 20% each? so it'll accumulate to 60%. just like - 03:18:788 (198788|1,198788|3,198788|0,198960|1,198960|3,198960|0) -

03:40:388 (220388|2,220560|2) - quite dont see the reason why is this shielded. I'll just recommend to move some of the notes around there so it'll consistent with most of the part here

03:46:560 (226560|0,226731|0) - ^
03:52:046 (232046|3,232217|3) - ^
o wait just notice that these two ^ are actually relevant with vocal but not the 1st one.

04:31:474 - Overlapped timing points (aimod)

Rivals_7
ok so..

00:45:017 (45017|3,45703|4) - and etc. might change all of those into auto sampleset

01:56:503 (116503|1) - move to 3? its quite contrary because those snares are in the same pitch apparently and mostly you put them in the same col.

ok idk what to mod anymore

Sorry for late, was kinda busy irl

00:22:046 - If you like to use boom! -> normal ~~~ or something, I would like to suggest this SV

00:22:046 - 5

00:22:088 - 0.85

00:36:103 - I think we need to give something different feeling here because here's a finish, Maybe suggesting 4 chords.

00:38:503 - 2 notes are over chorded here I think. There's just really tiny drums. Just 1/4 stream with one note can give different feeling enough. 00:41:588 - Look, I never think those 2 notes are consistent'd

00:55:817 - ~ 00:56:331 - SV is hard to read because 00:55:303 - ~ 00:56:331 - This empty part is really long and can't see nothing about interval. So you need to show 00:56:331 (56331|1,56331|3,56331|0,56331|4) - this notes to players first, then you can add SVs. I think

00:55:303 - 0.1
00:55:474 - 0.25
00:55:646 - 0.5
00:55:817 - 0.75
00:55:988 - 1.4
00:56:160 - 0.6

is better.

00:58:731 (58731|4,59074|0) - Finish these LNs on red line or white lines. Much comfortable to make good acc and it won't be a problem of snapping issues. Personally I like to suggest on red line.

01:06:103 - ~ 01:06:960 - Not unreadable, yes it's fine to play but I couldn't feel something powerful feeling on here. Lack of something high-light. How about to increase SVs more?

01:37:817 - Those SVs were kinda hmm..... well I can't say definite things here but 01:37:817 - 1.3 -> 1.2 is better in my personal opinion. (All of 1.3)

01:44:674 - ~ 01:45:017 - kinda hard to handle in correct timing. Just better to use 01:44:674 - 1.5 01:44:760 - 0.5 and ~~^

01:45:017 - Must be 0.59 for reading

Patterns should be fine, I just want to have consultation about SVs with you, uneven spacing is intention or not and that you have a knowledge about SVs. Call me on IRC for continue this mod

00:43:646 -
03:57:017 -
01:06:103 - can you give me a example for this (im not good at sv)

UPDATE
Aruel
Looks like you're not good at SV as you said, now I can grasp that SVs were not intended so here's SV mod, I've onlining about 9 hours and you are still offline so posting is much better I think

00:42:960 - 0.295, because 00:43:646 - those 0.49 + 0.1 SVs show spaces like x 0.295. so doing 0.2 and became 0.295 kinda makes confusing a bit (Because this is really slow SV so even 0.1 SV could make big difference). So if you do 0.295 on here, you can make same spaces with 00:43:646 - these SVs.

00:55:303 - Seems you didn't fix this. Please reply on mod of above!

01:06:103 - If you want to keep 1.2x here, add 0.8x on 01:06:274 - here for make correct space. And 01:06:360 - remove this 0.4x

01:06:446 - (1 + 0.4) / 2 = 0.7 =/= 1. Which means unreadable.

Fix all 1x that here (01:06:446 - ~ 01:06:960 - )to 1.6

01:26:846 - Also (1.2 + 0.4) / 2 = 0.8 =/= 1.

Same. 1.2x -> 1.6x

01:44:760 - 01:44:931 - 0.5

01:45:017 - 0.295

01:54:446 - All 1.2 to 1.6 that in this section. (01:54:274 - ~ 01:55:646 - )

01:56:931 - Now you used SVs on 1/4 section, Which means 4 pieces. So should be (High SV + Lower SV) / 3 =1.

01:56:931 - Move it to 01:56:846 - here or make it to 2.6x

02:07:688 - Should be 02:07:731 - here.

02:21:703 - ^ 01:54:274 -

03:07:046 - 0.5

03:07:217 - 0.5

03:07:303 - Add 0.295 x and 03:07:560 - remove this 0.2

03:16:560 - ^ 01:54:274 -

03:19:217 - ^ 01:56:931 -

03:56:331 - 0.295

04:29:246 - ^ 01:54:274 -

04:31:903 - ^ 01:56:931 -

05:02:160 - ^ 01:54:274 -

05:09:874 - 1.6

05:10:088 - to 05:10:131 -

Finally i come xd, sorry for my lateness.
Don't forget about metadata things i've said to you earlier.

00:29:931 (29931|0,30103|3) - Suggest this at col 4 and col 2 , much neater and not too bracketing

00:57:531 - 00:58:217 - ,etc. I really hope you can pull something more unique by making these and other similar synth sound with LNs.. you have strong synth sound that you can work at..

00:59:417 - the SVs here are really2x strong.. really recommend to make it softer by 0,60x and 1,40x instead.

01:23:417 - Make this LN here , so that it can bring out more proper and unique gimmick, do it on similar synth sound.

01:24:103 - tbh, considering that the clap sound is constant solid strong here, i would consider using stack pattern like https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7903856

01:26:846 - Same issues as before, make the sv softer too..

01:36:617 (96617|0,96788|2) - Better switch column here, current one feels a bit too forced.

01:43:303 - The clap here feels really underemphasized with just 2 notes.. i mean, the beat here actually quite heavy in terms of intensity here.

01:50:331 (110331|2,110503|4,110674|3) - There's 1/2 synth sound here, i figure you can use 1/2 LN so this part will be more spiced.

01:54:274 - Same SV issues, please fix it at all similar parts. I won't mention it again.

01:57:360 - 01:58:046 - ,etc. I think you already realize the big clap sound here judging by how you manage the Hitsound here, so what i wanna ask here, why not trying to bring triple here? i know that you feel it will be cramped because of the LN, but honestly, the overall pattern diff if you added triple chord here, still coherent with the rest of the map.. and this clap section here is rather short too, i don't see the reason not to use triple here, because otherwise, you will ended up mapping it the same way as 01:46:046 -

02:08:846 - Same thing as the one i mentioned at 00:57:531 - regarding the LN, trying to map the synth in more versalite way to bring out the song in more proper way.

02:16:217 - 02:16:560 - 02:16:903 - , and so on, it would be really good to bring LN for repeating vocal here (maybe you can make it jack LN? up to you), i do think the music properties actually allow you to do more xd

02:41:417 (161417|4,161760|4,162103|4,162446|4) - I notice you kinda stack this one, is this for any purpose? if yes, i recommend you do the similar stick in col 1 at 02:42:617 - , mirroring it to make the pattern more rigid and structured.

03:12:617 (192617|4,192788|1,192960|0) - Same one as i mention at 01:50:331 (110331|2,110503|4,110674|3) -

03:19:646 - Same again as i mentioned before about the clap being triple.

03:33:017 - This part is a bit too dense for fairly "calm" part after the kiai, and yet i think this part almost the same with kiai in terms of patterning although the intensity of music is actually differ by quite huge of a margin. My recommendation is to reduce the number of note you have at 03:34:217 - 03:34:731 - 03:35:760 - ,etc (all the one that have W) into single note. they are a quite kick in the first place, bringing them into single will retain the calmness of the song

04:06:274 (246274|1,246446|4) - Bring this into 1/2 LN will emphasis the vocal better here.

04:14:160 - I still prefer you did something similar like 02:02:503 - , although i know you may want to emphasis the beat clap there, but having LN pattern there won't ruin the clap emphasis, but the reverse, will complement the part section of the song well.

04:25:303 (265303|4,265474|3,265646|0) - Same again as 01:50:331 (110331|2,110503|4,110674|3) -

04:49:303 - Yeah, pretty much same again as what i mention regarding the LN things.

05:10:388 - This part becomes bland considering that this is suppose to be the outro part of the song. I know you don't really want to do 1/4 like the beginning because of the amount of three chords the pattern uphold into, that's why i'm proposing to cover the 1/4 with LN instead, it proposes variety and emphasizing song more.

Yeah, call me back after you done with addressing the mod, if you apply my pattern mod, please do it on similar part (since this song is actually repeating..)

Maxus
01:02:331 (62331|2,62417|3,62588|1,62760|4) - Ah i never meant ask you to use 1/4 LN here, i mean, you can make something like https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7920456 , using 1/2 LN to emphasize the synth, but not 1/4 ...

01:23:931 - For this part, you better follow the layering you did at 02:46:217 - , the one you did at 02:46:217 - is already correct, you just need to follow that.

02:07:988 - for this part, i didn't say mix vocal with synth.. i guess it's better to use screenshot afterall..

https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7920502 = 02:07:988 -

02:10:731 - https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7920544

02:13:474 - https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7920559

02:16:217 - For this part, what i meant is, follow vocal separately here so that the focus in the vocal for this section only , like https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7920575

02:18:960 - And then go back again to follow synth, btw for this, you can just follow the one i screenshot at 02:07:988 - , it's practically the same.

04:08:846 - I didn't say anything in mod to change this tbh .. I only ask to change 04:14:160 - ... ah, if you want to keep this, it's also fine either way, i just said, i never said to mix anything to make complicated LN..

for the rest of the similar section, you can see and follow my screenshot if you confused about the layering.

Btw, for the metadata, should be Shine!!(you Remix) , looking at https://soundcloud.com/you_bootleg/shineyou-remix
