got asked to help with hitsounds \o/

*hitsound boop*
[General]
  1. Regarding diff names, I would just name it Normal -> Advanced -> Hard since the Easy is probably a bit too hard to be an easy lol.
  2. Set your sampleset to Soft and probably 40% will do the trick.
  3. http://puu.sh/uCPoa.zip Here's a folder with the hitsound files you'll use
  4. Soft-hitnormal is your hitnormal, so don't worry about that
  5. Soft-hitwhistle is your strong kick
  6. Soft-hitclap is a light clap/snare
  7. Normal-hitwhistle is a muted kick for the middle section
  8. Normal-hitclap is for that bottle kind of sound.
[Where to put stuff]
00:09:553 (9553|6,9910|6,10803|3,11339|5) - Places like these are where you'll put the soft-hitwhistles. It's for that strong kick sound in the middle and ending sections. Since there's quite a lot of chords though, I would recommend you halve your hitsound volume and use double hitsounds. So what I mean is hitsound two notes in a chord using the same sample, but set the sample volume to half the original since hitsounds are additive. So what this means is, if you have two hitsounds on two notes at say, 20%, their volume will add together to total 40%. Basically, it'll look like this http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7529217

00:10:267 (10267|6,11696|3,13124|3) - And so on. This is where you use the soft-hitclap. It's a quieter kind of sound, but I'd recommend you do the same thing I suggested above and use double hitsounds with a halved volume

00:22:053 (22053|1,22589|1,22767|1,23303|1,23660|1,23839|1,24374|1,24910|1,25446|1,25624|1,26160|1,26517|1,26696|1) - This is where you use the normal-hitwhistle. So without actually changing the sampleset with green lines, what you can do instead is find on the left hand side of the editor a drop down menu that says "sampleset" and choose Normal. This means whatever notes you selected now use normal sampleset, and from there you can just add a whistle to it to use the normal-hitwhistle, which is a muted kick.

00:25:267 (25267|6,25446|6,25624|6,25803|6) - These notes are where you would use the normal-hitclap as they're a more high pitched clinky kind of sound. You do here the same thing you do above to change the sample set, and then just apply the clap normally.

00:32:410 - This is where you go back to using the soft sampleset.

[Easy]
00:14:017 (14017|4,14196|5,14374|6) - I would consider control J this so that the pattern rolls into 00:14:553 (14553|2,14553|3) - for flow
00:38:124 - to 00:40:267 - feels really left hand heavy imo. I might try to rearrange some of the notes to be on the right hand more, like this http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7529309
00:44:374 (44374|0,44553|2) - Since this is the same pitch, I think it'd be cool to stack this in 4, like so http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7529356

rip lazy mod for easy lol

Hi there, a rough mod.

mod
[General]
  1. Disable widecreen support cuz you don't have SB there
[Hard]
  1. Make the intro like what you have done in Normal , feels more confortable when notes go with the pitch
  2. 00:05:981 (5981|5) - Cut it to 2 notes for different sound
  3. 00:09:910 - Add a note
  4. 00:10:267 - Delete a note bcs the sound isn't strong
  5. 00:13:303 (13303|6) - Delete this one if it's not for vocal
  6. 00:19:017 (19017|4) - ^
  7. 00:45:089 - Add a note

Good luck :)

20:55 -BlueFire-: also it follows the pitch lmao
20:55 Another Lie: :O maybe like [https://puu.sh/uOybH.png this]?
20:56 Another Lie: 00:02:231 (2231|4,2410|5,2946|4,3124|5) - those are same sound [i know at normal diff shouldn't have jacks]
20:56 Another Lie: but, maybe you can move them to same column at Hard diff?
20:56 -BlueFire-: i think ill stick to the current patterns
20:56 Another Lie: ok
20:56 -BlueFire-: since pitch relevancy
20:56 *Another Lie continue
20:57 -BlueFire-: lol
20:57 Another Lie: 00:17:767 (17767|2) - why not end at red line?
20:57 Another Lie: 00:17:946 - and i hear sound here
20:57 Another Lie: a low sound
20:58 -BlueFire-: oh it actually ends in a blue line

21:00 -BlueFire-: the sound is so soft that i can barely hear it lmao
21:00 -BlueFire-: i can add the note in Hard though
21:00 Another Lie: 00:20:981 (20981|1,21160|2) - both of them are actually same sound
21:01 -BlueFire-: but in easy/normal it'll feel weird
21:01 Another Lie: not really if you have few jacks
21:02 -BlueFire-: yeah i know
21:02 -BlueFire-: i made it as a jack in hard
21:02 *Another Lie watch it as reference
21:02 -BlueFire-: lmao
21:03 Another Lie: 00:24:374 (24374|6) - add 1 note again, maybe to 5th col? to keep it consistent like 00:23:660 (23660|0,23660|6) - or 00:23:839 (23839|2,23839|4) -
21:05 Another Lie: can i continue now?
21:05 -BlueFire-: ah that part only has the bass
21:05 -BlueFire-: while the later parts have the vocal-thingys
21:05 -BlueFire-: speaking of which, i need to add a note 00:24:553 (24553|4) -
21:05 Another Lie: :O
21:05 -BlueFire-: since i noticed it as you mentioned that
21:05 Another Lie: what about this 00:27:410 -
21:06 -BlueFire-: yeah

21:09 Another Lie: you focused on what?
21:10 -BlueFire-: click sounds
21:10 Another Lie: the 00:25:267 (25267|6,25446|6,25624|6,25803|6) - sound or the 00:25:446 (25446|1,25446|0,25624|1,25624|0) -
21:10 -BlueFire-: like this
21:10 -BlueFire-: 00:25:267 (25267|6,25446|6,25624|6,25803|6) -
21:10 Another Lie: 00:25:981 (25981|4,26160|5) - move it to 7 col i guess
21:10 -BlueFire-: and ill delete note here lmao
21:10 -BlueFire-: 00:26:339 -
21:10 Another Lie: :O
21:11 *Another Lie didn't update yet
21:11 -BlueFire-: o lmao
21:11 Another Lie: i downloaded this map 10 minutes before we got IRC
21:11 -BlueFire-: i havent updated the map because of shit internet
21:11 Another Lie: :v
21:11 *Another Lie slapped
21:12 -BlueFire-: but yeah ill be keeping this 00:26:339 - because of 00:25:981 (25981|2,26160|1,26339|3) -
21:12 -BlueFire-: i barely changed anything tbh
21:12 *Another Lie continue
21:12 Another Lie: 00:44:910 (44910|5,44910|6,44999|2,44999|0,45089|4,45089|3) - i'm still curious about them
21:13 Another Lie: if my opinion, would be like [https://puu.sh/uOzcW.png this]
21:13 -BlueFire-: i moved the note on the 4th column to the 6th
21:14 -BlueFire-: ill think about adding another note there
21:14 Another Lie: well, that's all i can mod [pretty short map]
21:14 -BlueFire-: if 1 or 2 people suggests it
21:14 Another Lie: 45s
21:14 -BlueFire-: yeah lmao
21:14 -BlueFire-: ez

hot garbage mod incoming

general
song is a mini mashup of marble soda and virus so add the following to tags as redundant as it sounds:
Marble Soda
Virus

----

Scale your values properly unless you have some acceptable reason not to do this:
Easy -> HP/OD 7
Normal -> HP/OD 7.5
Hard -> HP 8 / OD 7.5 because those LN releases are harder to deal with than you might think

Hard
00:11:339 (11339|0,11517|1,11517|2,11696|0) - this is butt to play so move 00:11:517 (11517|1) - to 5
00:14:910 - col 4 jacking should be done provided that there is either a special sound or a balanced structure which this section lacks so yeah. Here's a p long screenshot: https://puu.sh/uQ3o0/65e6acbcbe.png
00:17:589 (17589|3,17856|2) - to 3 and 5 respectively for cleaner transitioning
00:18:660 (18660|4,18839|2) - it would overall just play better if you move these to 3 and 2 respectively
00:20:267 - because using a 567 chord to end a section is very bland https://puu.sh/uQ3Ks/14d26a2991.png
00:32:410 - you know, you can up the difficulty for this second kiai by lets say, quadding stuff like 00:33:124 - but that's just my idea on adding more spice to the diff
00:37:410 - probably a ctrl h copypasta not sure but you get the problem apply my first screenshot here just avoid that col 4 jack and utilize a better 1/4 transitioning
00:44:999 (44999|2,45089|3) - ctrl g

[Easy]
00:26:339 - shouldn't there be a note here to cap off the LN ending? One of the things I learned from protastic for players to easily know when they would release on the LN. Preferably on [4]
00:40:981 (40981|5,41160|3,41339|5,41517|3) - i would suggest to pattern these notes with the previous one at 00:38:124 (38124|3,38303|0,38481|2,38660|0,38839|3) since im assuming that its a new measure and that you would want variety in the patterns aside from the 1313 or 6464 alternating notes. Pattern suggestion would be: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7605992

[Normal]
00:06:339 (6339|4) - I would suggest for LNs like these to end at 1/2 measures. Idk looks aesthetically right for me because its weird seeing an LN end before a white line lmao, or you could end the LN at the white line instead :p up to you
00:17:231 (17231|2,17589|4) - pattern suggestion: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7606037 for hand balance, because its left-handed heavy xd

[Hard]
00:15:981 (15981|5,15981|6) - i feel like these notes should be split up like the ones you did previously, at 00:13:124 (13124|1,13124|3) and at 00:10:267 (10267|6,10267|3)

Sorry for short mod ;w; sasuga blufire the god mapper o7 goodluck mang!!

00:30:624 (30624|6) - move to 4col It'll be awkward if i suddenly add 1/1 jack when i didn't use it before

Hard
00:08:124 (8124|5) - move to 7col It'll be awkward if i put it on column 7
