Problem Details:all 7*+ maps deleted from my client even after reinstalling




osu! version: 20160821.1 (latest)

Did you delete the /osu!/Songs/ folder?
That's where your songs are
If note, press f5 while in game to force a refresh

Don't delete osu!.db aa it'll delete the list of your scores, collections and the database of songs.

Make sure that you don't have a star limit set in the options that would filter out maps higher than 7*

Almost forgot, while in the main menu screen (first thing you see when osu starts) press the osu! Button and you'll see "xxx Beatmaps" at the very top.
see if the count is not low or 0. If it's high follow what Sandy said

Try and filter maps by difficulty. If there is a tab that says Not Calculated just click on the maps inside of it wait a couple seconds and they would be calculated. Rare but it happens sometimes.

Open options and type difficulty
You'll see a star limiter. Maybe you set it from 0-6.5, thus not showing maps higher than 6.5

Guess I thought you said 700 and thought 7* was a typo. But don't worry, no map probably has been deleted.

Collections and scores are separate database files, and removing osu!.db would not cause this behaviour.

All that would do is mark all maps as "Unplayed"
