Perhaps, your graphic card drivers don't support the latest release stream, probably because they're out dated. Make sure they are up to date. See

Also, does turning compatibility mode on help? You can enable it through the options menu, as well as through a recovery dialog which pops up if you hold Shift while launching the game.
