[Archived] Why is my frames dropping low?

I've been playing Osu! for a good 2 months now with no problems at all. Recently I've been dropping frames in the middle of the songs like either when the beat drops or chorus plays. It's been bothering me. When I think I fix it it just does it again. It drops the frames then fails me because the notes aren't being hit.
Why does this happen? It just started happening this past week.

osu! version: 20150414.2 (latest)

Background processes using resources perhaps? Try setting the priority of the osu!.exe processs to high in the task manager and see if that helps. If it does, what I said previously is likely the cause. (Record a video of it?)

Your pc could be overheating and cause the fps drops. Check temperatures.
If it's not that it should be background proccesses i guess..
