@ Green Platinum: What?! That movie was great. What's so awful about it? Just because it's not a Precure movie and not happy every darn time, doesn't mean it's awful.
I recognize the technical aspects of the film but as a story it was awful and provided an unhelpful epilogue for a series that already reached its resolution. The actions of the incubators was inconsistent and whole conclusion to the film had hardly any coherence to it. The third was the worst of the trilogy.-Nya- wrote:

Well, I still loved it. Those mysteries, surprises and unexpectedness of the movie. I don't like cliches at all and that movie wasn't one of those at all. I love something else and that was something else. It doesn't have to make sense, it has to leave you wondering and that's what makes it great.
The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya has always been my favorite.
I always feel if I watch that movie again I'll find a reason to dislike it. Since Haruhi hysteria has worn off now. Loved it when I watched it though.Renevant wrote:

That said - The Girl Who Leapt Through Time might be my favorite anime film overall, brilliantly well put together, great story, very well executed plot.

Seems like this is a pretty popular answer, but I'm going to go with Byousoku 5 Centimeters / 5 Centimeters Per Second. It's got some of the best art I've ever seen, and is just overall a masterpiece

wolf children and 5cm per second hands down. amazing films, I can't wait to see more.
Madoka Magica: Rebellion was my favorite. I know a ton of people hate it but I...don't. Its that or Hotarubi no Mori e. Then theres The Disappearance Of Haruhi Suzamiya though....UGH SO MANY! ;~;
