Problem Details: i opened up osu! the other day and it said something about a corrupt file attempting to repair it, then the game started. most of my maps won't calculate for difficulty and my collections are gone. randomly doesn't register notes when i hit them in taiko mode. not sure what to do, please help.
also when i play ranked songs it doesn't submit them.

Video or screenshot showing the problem:

osu! version: 20150109.1 (latest)

create a file called help.txt inside your osu! folder and run osu.exe
Bara-
The collection.db has probably gone corrupt
You can try deleting osu.db when osu is closed for a full reprocess of everything when opening osu
Also, is your internet good?

To marco, what does the help.txt do? I have never heard of that xD

The problem means there is corrupted data either in one of your .osu files or a file is named using an invalid character.

You will probably have to reinstall.

It should repair osu! files from what i heard
Bara-
NEVER reinstall, that should never fix anything (words from peppy)
Instead, delete collections.db and osu.db

but where do i create the help.txt file?
- Marco -
on your main osu! folder (same place as osu!.exe)
Bara-
in the osu folder (Same folder which has skins, songs, replays, exports etc.)

i have done these, still looks like nothing has changed, except my songs are calculated now. still drops notes alot, it's not my keyboard either. works fine on any other game.
