Problem Details:

I was posting a message, and I forgot some things, but I already pressed "post"
Then I clicked on this cross so it would stop posting
Then it worked, so I resent it, with correct stuff
Then it got posted twice
Good thing I could still delete the second post
Idk if this can be fixed, or that it's my fault xD

Video or screenshot showing the problem:

You probably pressed the cancel button while you're being redirected back to the thread (to refresh).

I can confirm that this does happen, but only by hitting post several times.

I don't recognize that symbol though. You shouldn't be able to cancel a post after it is submitted.

Let me try

Edit: did it

@thevileone it's the loading symbol for Firefox

Don't press post multiple times. That is not a valid way of cancelling a post.

Well it's like you're going to post but you realize you made a mistake so you click the stop symbol, fix the mistake, click post again....

Stuff happens, the post field clears, ????, ends up posting double

Then what is a valid way of cancelling after pressing post?

Once you send the post, it doesn't cancel if you hit the stop symbol. If you press cancel via the x button, it doesn't cancel the post. Once your message gets sent you can't stop it from being posted. The extra load time you get is the topic being prepared, your message is already posted. Also your browser has no control over what gets kept or deleted forum side.

If you stop loading, and start I assume this acts like a refresh operation, and so it loads a new page which clears the text.

There is none. Hit cancel before submitting or edit your post after. The cancel button might be setup to allow this functionality.
