[Archived] My client keeps crashing whenever I try to change skins

Problem Details:

Whenever I try to change my skins in game, it brings me to a black screen which eventually crashes the whole game. I've been stuck on a skin i don't like for some time now and I would appreciate some help. Thank you!

While this isn't a solution but a work-around;

Browse to your osu! installation directory, there should be a file named "osu!.<username>.cfg".
Open/Edit this file with notepad or wordpad (or any text program) and change "Skin = <skinname>" to the skin you want to use.

Clueless about possible causes of the issue though.
