[Archived] Song file error while downloading.

Song file error while downloading.

Problem Details:
I make some Mania maps.
Only one of my map has this problem.
This map:
LightAN21 - Love is ? (Re-Note ver.)
https://osu.ppy.sh/s/196844

When I use Google Chrome to download it, it started downloading some unknown file "196844".
But when I use FireFox browser to download it, the file is OK. "196844 LightAN21 - Love is _ (Re-Note ver.)"

The situation happened on at least 3 Modders' computer, though I don't know which browser they use.

Modder "Lunatic Raccoon" gave me a simple solution:

Solved! Added .osz to the file and Osu! imported it normally, tho there is no BG image to be seen...
Though it's useful for Modders who want to Mod my map,
I hope everyone can enjoy the song and my map and I hope the map getting ranked.

So I think I must solve this problem first.

(My others maps do not have this problem)

This is a problem. :/ I will look into what exactly is going wrong here.

It has something to do with the ?.

(I actually used open with)
Rather than waiting for a solution you'll have to wait for a fix/adjustment to the file reading

Apart from that, it seems to load just fine in game, but that's another story.



The file shows as such:



The song is able to load just fine. And nothing really seems to go wrong when playing it.

I think it's a problem with chrome recognizing files with ? in the filename. It may need to be changed server side to fix this issue unless Chrome fixes it on their end.

Yeah ! I also think about that !
But I can't change the title of the folder.
If I change the file name of the song and upload it, there will be an error since I already have 3 Pending maps.
I can't submit more then 3 maps until I have 1 Ranked map.

- Is there any method to re-upload this map(in right file mane) that can preserve the stars which were shoot by others?

Updating the map won't lose anything.

I re-submit the map. Maybe re-start is also not bad because the map is almost done.

Just lack some Mod.

I will need to find where it compiles the name information when the beatmap submits. I'm not sure if this is done client or server-side. If it is server-side, then someone with knowledge of the server will need to correct this behavior. If you want a quick fix, you can remove the ? from the title and resubmit the map. Remember to change it back if it is going to be qualified.
