So, since I think that I should do this, here's a list of every player that play tested this map and gave me their input, and since most of them have gave me some suggestions some way or another (I won't go into details about exactly who suggested/commented what cause there's too many, and in case that they didn't gave any suggestion, I could still see where they missed to readjust the design), so I guess some credits should go to them, and since the majority of them won't post in this thread, I guess this space is right.

Supuestamente, Xanandra era una mujer muy hermosa de hace mucho tiempo ya, tenía una sonrisa que podía alegrar a cualquiera, podía ver siempre lo mejor de cada uno, era amada por todos y era la prometida de un joven príncipe.

Un día, una vieja bruja invocó un hechizo sobre ella por envidia, y fue así que Xanandra empezó a ver cosas no estaban ahí, empezó a volverse loca, empezó a alejarse de todos sus seres queridos, hasta que finalmente se aisló de todo el mundo, ya que ella ya no soportaba seguir viendo las cosas que ella veía, y lentamente pero seguro, empezó a aceptar esta oscuridad que veía, y con el tiempo se volvió la bruja del bosque.

Pero esta historia realmente no se trata de Xanandra, pero sí sobre la oscuridad que empezó a consumir el joven príncipe que apenas vió a su querida alejarse de él, sin saber realmente el por qué, en su espera de que ella quizás retorne a él algún día.

Xanandra is supposed to be a very beautiful woman from long time ago, she had a smile that could charm anyone , she could always see the best of someone, she was loved by everyone and she was to be married to a young prince.

One day, and old witch casted a curse upon her out of envy, and so Xanandra started to see things that weren't there, she was starting to go mad, she was drifting away from all her loved ones, and so finally she isolated herself from everyone just because she couldn't bear to see the things she saw anymore, and all slowly but surely, she started to embrace the darkness she saw, and over time she became the witch of the forest.

This story isn't really about Xanandra though, but about the sadness that started to consume the young prince that just saw her go away from him, without really knowing why, in his wait that she might return to him one day.

Esta muy bueno el mapa, pero siento que la velocidad de los sliders se queda muy corta comparado con el spacing que usas en todos los jumps, es decir, son muy lentos, o da esa sensacion, sobretodo en los sliders mas largos.

  1. According to new rules you need two taiko diffs. :< rule.txt
  2. Add some tags? Maybe you need tags like Hechizos, pócimas y brujería (have no idea what it means, but it's name of the album)
  3. Offset in Taiko Diff is different, please fix it.
[Easy]

  • I didn't like this diff, because it doesn't looks like actual [Easy]. Let me explain why:
  1. Flow. Flow here is quite weird and may stress/confuse beginners. Beginners aren't used to this kind of flow, it will stress them too much. See the spoilerbox below! I understand, that this is your style, but can't you make it a little it more understandable for beginners?

    Blue is the way, how players should read this pattern. It is not so understandable here, or looks confusing for beginners.
    Red is how beginners see your flow. Tail of (2) is too close, so beginners might mistakenly click it.
Diff settings. Personally, I think that they're too high for an [Easy] diff. AR is too fast and other settings are too high, too. Try to use AR3 and OD/HP: 2. Song has fast BPM, so we should make diff settings a bit easier. Rhythm.Rhythm here is quite inconsistent. For the easiest diff of the mapset, it's better to make consistent rhythm. So, beginners will be able to follow it. Try to keep consistent rhythm everywhere, so it'll look like this. Fo example, I liked you rhythm at 00:58:773 - 01:18:143 - this part. It is consistend and playable. Breaks. This the easiest diff, so placing third break time would be a good idea. Beginners need some time to recover!But there's some more things I'd like to point out.
  1. 00:48:294 (1) - short sliders like this one may confuse beginners. Personally, I think that beginners should be able to see start/end of the slider clearly.
  2. 00:55:915 (3) - 2nd and 3rd reverse arrows appeartoo fast, beginners have no time to read them properly.They don't even expect to see here more than ONE reverse-arrow. That's why sliders like this one aren't recommended for [Easy] and [Normal] diffs.
  3. 00:24:160 (3) - some of your hitobjects are overlapped with HP-Bar. Looks messy, so try to avoid overlaps :<
[Normal]
  1. This diff is just a [Normal]. I think you need a third break somewhere in the nd of this diff, players need some time to recover, y'know!
  2. 00:14:475 (7,8,9) - three finishes in a row sound the the way too loud. Try to replace finishes on (7,8) with whistles.
  3. 00:21:620 (2,3,4,5,6,7,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1,2,3) - too many 1/1 clicking here, for a [Normal] diff with 189 BPM it's too hard. Try to replace some of 1/1 circles with sliders?
  4. 00:41:308 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13) - no. Same as above here :< Also, this combo is too long, try to place NC on (8) to keep comboing consistent!
    Note: it's quite clear, that you should apply (or ignore it) for all similar patterns: 00:46:388 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13) - 01:39:736 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13) -
  5. 01:15:602 (1) - After all those loooooooooooooong combos, you've got two short ones. Try to remove NC here and 01:18:142 (1) - here to keep comboing consistent?
  6. 01:32:115 (1,2,3) - sudden x1.2 spacing here for no reason. Can you fix it to keep DS consistent here?
  7. 01:53:708 (1) - your patterns are pretty similar, so remove here NC to make this combo a bit longer. So, you'll get consistent comboing :)
  8. 02:06:727 (5) - 2nd and 3rd reverse arrows appeartoo fast. Players don't even expect to see here more than ONE reverse-arrow. That's why sliders like this one aren't recommended for [Easy] and [Normal] diffs.What's more, normally you use only [b]ONE repeat on each 1/2 slider, that's why this slider looks pretty awkward. Consider replacing it with one long slider?[/b] you can try to make this slider curvy, instead (each angle follows 1/2 beat here)
    Note: same happens to 03:09:125 (2) - 03:38:180 (2) -03:58:503 (6) - 04:12:951 (3) -

  2. 00:03:996 (1,2,3,4) - stacking 1/4 and 1/2 notes is kinda bad idea, it plays pretty awkward and hard to read :<
  3. 00:09:712 (6) - consider moving its tail somewhere else, looks too much like part of this stream, so players might mistakenly hit tail of this slider :<
  4. 00:14:475 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - uhh... I'm not sure, but those jumps have weird flow. How about re-making them easier readable?
  5. 00:20:826 (1,2) - nazi - it'd be more reasonable to stack them with 00:20:032 (3,4) - for consistent flow, don't you think so?
  6. 00:23:684 (5) - combo mods are welcome? - how about a new combo here? To follow vocals and to keep your patterns consistent you need a NC here

As I said NCs in beginning helps to read jumps and this 00:36:545 (1,2,3,4,5) jumps is fine for hard because they 1/1 so no change for my diff.

Please, ignore taiko for now, and also I dont think those tags are that needed, considering how unpopular mago de oz actually is, let alone that not many people will find or they will be able to find this map by just searching for the band's name. But if more people insist, I'll add.

[Easy]

    Well, for starters, you can't really see at this diff as an actual easy, but more like a normal, precisely because of the bpm.

This is the way that I like my maps to flow, and yes, Ive criticized a lot because of that by some modders, but I believe that they are okay.

Although its true that I havent asked new players to test it yet, I will look more into it, and ask some of them to test play.

  1. Try to use HP Drain 7 or 8 to keep diff spread more balnced. Hard has HP Drain 6, you should make HP Drain here higher! 7 or 8 would be good.
    From the tests I have done, most people ranked 600-1000 will fail this map if I use hp drain 6, and since I want more people to be able to enjoy this diff to the end, I decided to use low hp drain
  2. 00:03:996 (1,2,3,4) - stacking 1/4 and 1/2 notes is kinda bad idea, it plays pretty awkward and hard to read :<
  3. 00:09:712 (6) - consider moving its tail somewhere else, looks too much like part of this stream, so players might mistakenly hit tail of this slider :<

  4. 00:14:475 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - uhh... I'm not sure, but those jumps have weird flow. How about re-making them easier readable?
    Actually, some players praised those jumps, Not sure quite sure why's that particularly.

    As for the rest that I didnt say anything, I could say that I have asked many players ranked from 3 (Shadow Sould) to 1000 (You may even say 10.000 lol, but they had to use no fail) to play this map, and I have got lots of input from them, and I have changed the patterns accordingly to the point were the players didnt had any complaints any more (And trust me, many patterns have been changed)
