You see, a friend and I recently started taking dance classes - House - to be specific. My teacher recommended us both to get more into the rhythms of House, since neither me nor my friend are used to listen to House, and that genre is still very underground here in Chile.
That's where you girls/guys come in, can anyone here direct me to some nice House Artists and give me sone nice House Songs? I would be very grateful if you did, since I know very little about the style.I might even record myself sometime in the future when I suck less to thank you all for your help.

Use this place to discuss about the genre too, since any kind of information about the roots and stuff will probably also help me.

You know, it's quite normal for anyone with half a brain to look in google before asking. If I'm asking here, it's beacuse I was not satisfied with what a search engine had to offer, and because I wanted real suggestions from real people who listen to House.

Anyways, my House teacher gave us some names of artists and I just found one of them, Frankie Knuckles. This is the song I've liked the most from the ones I've heard. I'll keep this thread active with whatever else my teahcer gives us.

I still can't accept streetdancing over House Music, though you can use Reggaeton and Crunk too to House Dance( I do like those genre, differently from the "uptempo-wha" house ), to dance with that style
Reggae Fusion ↓, isn't certainly produced with the basics of House

I do prefer, however, to freestyle mixing all the dancing style, and yes, house dance is actually a part of street dancing, you should see if in street dance they do "B-Boying"(Breakdance) and/or Popping and Locking ( they're called "Old School" )
