I'm now using a notebook, not my PC, and I can't update because of an error with osume.exe
When I run it, it tries to check for updates, then get an error and just keeps saying "Checking for updates.." forever.
I can't upload any screenshots because internet here is VERY poor, so have just a text of that error:
Quote:
Error. IndexOutOfRangeException: Индекс находился вне границ массива in #9hb.#cib.#Mib()

I have tried to redownload osu!unstaller, download osume.exe from the topic t/19232 , but that doesn't help.
I'm trying to download 64-bit .NET atm, but download time is ~6 hours (yes, internet is just like that) and I'm 99% sure that .NET is fine here (cause I have played osu! on this PC nearly a month ago)

Oh, also my PC details:
HP Pavilion dv6
Windows 7 Home Edition SP1 x64

Tried. The same error.
As far as I know, IndexOutOfRange can't be caused by lack of rights. This happens when the application tries to find some data in the array, but calls an item which doesnt exist. For example, we have an array of 5 items, then we try to get data from 6th item and get this error.

Try to copy the whole osu! folder into another place (Except songs folder if you have something there), and run osume.exe from there.

Still doesnt work.
It also doesn't work if I run osume.exe as administrator in an empty folder after I download it from http://osu.ppy.sh/release/osume.exe
Ok.

Just to be sure, you running osume.exe alone or starting osu! and then it restarts and run osume? I ask this since maybe your firewall is blocking osume.exe. I was sure your .NET is ok since if something wrong with that it appear with a different error. (0x0..... thingy or .NET blablabla)

I get an error in both cases (either if I run osu.exe first or run osume.exe)
I have tried to turn firewall off. This doesn't help.

It will help for some people with the same problem if you write down how you solved it.

I was about to say the same thing. We can link to this thread for later purposes if we get a solution ^o^
Sorry if my english is off, I only speak Canadian.

Well, I could tell how I solved this, but I can't... Because it was not solved lol D:
To be honest, I just pressed Play-Solo very fast so osu! have not closed. And since I had the latest version of osu!client, I could login.
But now peppy has released a new build and I can't login that way...
So problem has come back.
osume.exe is still not working. osu!client still can't update.

Oh and probably that could help: now I get this error "in #96b.#86b.#B7b()"

Your internet connection seems to be interfering with the update process. Please try a different internet connection.

Thank you, peppy!
Yes, I was thinking so. I use 3G mobile internet atm.
Well, I have to wait for my return home then.
Is it possible to somehow add mobile internet support?

It is likely a proxy interfering with your web requests. If you can disable proxies, or maybe use a service like Tor to get around their proxies, it may help.
