I've been trying to improve how much I could watch in a day, but if the show's serious, I can only withstand a maximum of 5 episodes [damnit].

If the show have 12~26 episode and I like it, I watch it all in a day.

But this doesn't happen often.

Isn't that the common number of episodes today? I haven't heard an anime that has less than that, and more usually means crappy kids' mainstream anime.

Yeah, most of the newer animes have this amount of episodes. But I watch a lot of old things which have 40~50 or more episodes (like Hajime no Ippo, Saint Seiya, etc).

Yeah, to be honest, the only good anime that I watched with less than 12 episodes is Tokyo Magnitude 8.0.

True. Anime that has lower than 25/26 eps usually has lower popularity (and sometimes lower quality). But some just needs more popularity to continue (since they had good story). And some just deserved that.

Popularity, yes. The most famous Anime are the infinity shonens, like One Piece and Naruto. What is shame, there is a lot of good Anime out there which deserve more fans. But I disagree about the lower quality. My experience with Anime tells me that Anime with lower episode numbers has a higher chance of being worth watching. And it makes sense. Many episodes = More money needed to do something decent, you know? That's why those infinity shonens have crappy quality animation and crappy other things. XD

With less episodes, they can focus the money on the animation, visuals, soundtrack, etc... Since the story usually is from some visual novel or game.

Lower episodes DOES increase quality in animation sense, but it does not mean they increase in story and character. There are some who're taking the story & character raw/un-adapted to the animation world itself. Therefore, worsening the anime more than the original VN/game/story. (I'm taking "School Days" as an example (And due to the references of it I'm getting a lot behind lately...))

Yeah, I'm a looking from a more technical perspective.

Story-wise, there is a lot... I mean a LOT of crap with few episodes.
A good example of a famous Anime with stunning visuals and crappy story is Bakemonogatari. Dear god, the story is awful. xD

I never played the School Days Visual Novel. Is it worth?

Nope. The same as the anime (except for 1 ending where Makoto decided to make things right, but I forgot how it went). Makoto's still an idiot all the way (except for 1 ending I mentioned earlier).
