The Edgeworth, game keeps me away from osu! some days :P
Well beated it now, it's a bit different from the other games and is pretty fun!
It kinda lacked the epic courthouse battles and I kinda felt like that Logic should have been bigger and harder (Like 10 things at the same time and some didn't have any use!) but i liked how all the cases was connected this time!

Well I just found this Japanese promo of the game where they discuss who that supposed to be the main role in the game ;)

I beat it last night, holy fuck some of the logic jumps in that last case were stupid as shit, worse than the circus one in PW2.

And it went on and on and on and on and on

finished the game. It felt short even if there was a lot of game time. I just wish there were more cases since five makes the story feel really short :[

You realize that 5 cases is the most that's ever been in an AA game right? AA1 originally only had 4 since Rise From The Ashes was an add-in for the DS remake. Trials & Tribulations had 5, but 2 of them were short cases with no investigation phases. This makes AAI, approximately, the longest game in the series.

But the cases are shorter overall, especially the first two. What they really should have done is make the game less linear instead of just "investigate this area" and "cross-examine (or whatever) this person" over and over. So you would have to, you know, actually think and stuff most of the time.

The Ace Attorney series really love using names with puns, and AAI just proves it all the more...

I lol'd at Deid Mann from the 4th case.

My favourite case in AAI was case 4. Case 5 was okay, but the ending dragged ON and ON and ON. I was seriously thinking "ANOTHER 'HOLD IT!'?! HOW MANY DOES THIS CASE NEED?!" It was good, though, but not my favourite

Ep5 just took too long to reach a conclusion, even though we all knew whodunnit by then.

Phoenix Wright = Best game series evar.

AAI was good, I really enjoyed it. The best case was definitely case 4. Epix.

Don't worry, everyone thinks the same.
However, I really enjoyed AAI, and all of the Ace Attorney games, they're all great!

Sega is creating an Ace Attorney Theme Park attraction in Japan based on AAI.

I really want to see this State-side as well, this looks extremely interesting.

Actually maybe it's not all my fault... It seems to have more to do with where the DS is in its life cycle right now. Which is fair. The Capcom guy keeps hinting that they're looking into other ways it might get released in the future, and I certainly wouldn't object if they held it back to be updated into a native 3DS title.

I bought it for a while for my iPhone and I sure like this game. In the court I have always to think 'bout the case....I even used the method I use in Phoenix Wright for solving a case, in my class exercises - - - - and failed :cry:

Whenever there's a problem in our school, I use Edgeworth's style of thinking: put in front of my mind the words important to the solution. It's like logic, only that I make it look like crap.

As far as I know, there may be a localisation depending on the response. Edgeworth's second game may not have been localised, but the Layton series is still going strong in the west.

I really hope Capcom don't double back on any plans they had to make an Apollo Justice trilogy and move back to Phoenix due to fan whining. The AJ franchise had a fairly solid start and I reckon the characters have potential to develop over another couple games.

Glad to see the next game's going to exist, regardless~

That can easily show up in Apollo Justice games. I personally hope they continue AJ's story because there's so much unresolved at the end of the first one.

Would also love a localization of the sequal to Investigations because Edgeworth is the best.

i saw the trailer of the gyakuten saiban live action movie
i was expecting edgeworth to be..well 'cool'
and that's what they gave me :<

pheonix wright was a good game all in all
i always laugh at how they named the characters in the english version

Massive bump.

I just finished AA5, and I enjoyed it a lot.
The storyline was great, and I loved how the cases were all linked with each other.

We got a recurring cast of characters (though brief they may appear) as well as new characters with equally good backstories.
The music was amazing as usual. I loved how the remixed the themes. The Cornered remixes were pretty awesome.
The animated scenes were also nicely made. The voice acting was just right, although at some parts (third case with the friendship thing) felt unnatural.

A minor concern though was the usage of the Mood Matrix along with the Magatama and Apollo's Bracelet. The mix of the three didn't quite go so well. I assume those unfamiliar with the Magatama and Bracelet got a bit confused (for those who haven't played the earlier games).

The $30 was worth it. Although I wished for a longer game ;_;
Oh well, DLC it is.

One thing that has struck out to me is the massive number of Typos and incorrect English in this version compared to the other releases. Kinda disappointing, to be honest. Although, to be fair, it's certainly not a game breaker (obviously) and the DS versions were refined from their GBA counterparts.

In addition, one thing I liked about the cases was that they didn't feel draggy at all. Unlike the last case from AAI, all the cases felt appropriately long.
Although Case 5 and 4 are technically continuations of each other (Still want more episodes though ;_;)

Edit:
Oh IIRC I saw bugs though. Text vanishing when you try to reread the text log, and there was even this point in the third case where I had to guess and present the tape analysis when I didn't know that it was exactly 10 min 35 sec, because the text descriptions were gone -_-

Not sure if you got there yet but Case 5 seemed to actually have been proofread. Thank goodness.

I agree with NoHitter in that I felt it was too short (edit: nvm, you think it's appropriate. IT WAS TOO SHORT! I still need to know more about blackquill T_T. I also felt it was...pretty easy. Anyone else?

I've had an issue with the vanishing log text happened to me once during one of Blackquill's testimonies

DLC is out...I think XD

I downloaded something and went back to playing the new Zelda. I'd rather play it when I'm all alone in my room so I can just focus on the case and enjoy the music/characters. Pheonix Wright games are the type of games I can't play on the go :(

Got and played the new case and really liked it.
I really didn't expect the case to end on such a bittersweet note though, considering the silly theme of the case.

Also it was lovely to see Pearly to get some more action in this case compared to the main story, and cross-examining a orca = Awsome!

Which seems to be the obvious case. But there are a lot of possible references and a lot of Queen songs to choose too. This one seems to coincidental. Capcom does seem to have a habit of appreciating fan works.

Bump for the completion of Ace Attorney Investigations 2 fan-localisation. Just finished it and holy shit the last twist hit me like a bullet train. Quite a interesting bunch of recurring and cameo characters. The case that preceded DL-6 was interesting too.

As for the more technical stuff, they weren't exaggerating when they said "you would think you have a US release of the game in your hands." Very well done localisation, but the last 2 cases laid out internet references and shout-outs a lot thicker than usual for some reason, almost a little too much imo.

Just finished the first episode, the translation quality is really impressive indeed, I was not expecting that.

So my friend was teasing me about a live-action PW movie made in Japan, "pshh, okay Kevin, you got me~"

Searched it up the following night, it actually exists, and I'm not usually into live action video-game movies but hey, Phoenix Wright. :3

From the trailer it looks pretty based off of the first game, still need to watch the actual thing though. :33

It was an ok movie. I liked how on Manfred's first appearance he was visibly rubbing his shoulder, for people who already know the events to catch on. Though watching that movie did make me forget how the real game's events went which made me think there was a huge plot hole in AAI2. The murder weapon in IS-7 was not a gun, but Gregory wasn't shot with it in the actual game.

The only thing I distinctly remember hating about that movie is the terrible lighting at one point when Gumshoe was persuading Wright to defend Edgeworth. I get the silhouettes make it look more serious but they were literally shrouded in darkness for like 5min straight

the lighting made the whole movie kinda gloomy instead of hmm, I guess comical, I can't seem to think of the right word, like how it was in the games
