General Comments:

  1. Widescreen Support is toggled on for the Cup and Overdose difficulties, but off for the other two. Since this map doesn't have an SB, I don't think this needs to be on (?) Either way, song setup should be consistent between maps.
  2. This is purely a personal judgement, but I find audible hitsounds on spinner ends at the very end of the song somewhat strange, especially if the backing track has ended (as it has in this case). You could always set volume for the spinner to something like 5% so it's "practically" inaudible, but like I said, this is just me being picky.


Map-Specific Comments:

00:07:040 (3) - The music suggest more of a "clap" here than a cymbal crash (finish). However, I can see why you used a finish, since clap becomes your regular "beat" in the majority of the song starting immediately after, and the two could get confused. Perhaps you could use alternative "finish" sound? Though again, this might affect other areas of the mapset. Take it or leave it.

01:20:240 (3) - I feel this jump is a little too big for the easiest diff, to the point where I didn't think I would make it without dash (I subsequently retried, and it is possible without, but requires a reasonable level of reaction I wouldn't personally expect from a beginner). I would move to x~400-420.
00:04:400 (4) - Whistle sounded odd here, I think it would be better without it.

00:07:040 (4) - As point [1] for the Cup diff.

01:16:880 (4) - I think this sounds better starting at 01:16:760 (4) to match up with the vocals.
00:07:520 (4) - As point [1] for the Cup diff.

00:59:360 (5) - I don't think this size of this jump is justified in the backing track or the vocals, so I would move to x~256. This means there's still a reasonable jump from 4-5 and notes 6&7 can either move with 5, or remain as is, with a small "jink" (Apologies I couldn't think of a better way of describing this) to reach 6 from 5.

01:16:640 (1) - I felt a jump was missing here? Not to say I dislike the current pattern here, I just think it's too easy for a Platter diff. I really like the jump at a similar point in the music at 02:10:400 (1,2), so maybe you could copy this across?

02:10:400 (1,2) - The jump here is a quarter beat later than at 01:55:040 (4,5). I think this was done because a kick drum is present at 01:16:640 (1) and 01:55:040 (4,5) in the backing track, but is NOT present at 02:10:400 (1,2)). I spent a good while deliberating over whether these jumps should be the repeated on the same place and I couldn't decide in the end, since they're both perfectly acceptable. I leave it up to you whether you put them on one, the other or both.
I found this diff name somewhat misleading, as it seemed more like a Rain than an Overdose in terms of difficulty. I don't like to generalise, but as someone who generally struggles with Overdose difficulty maps, I can't say I struggled with this. I like the difficulty spread as it stands, so I'd rename this to a Rain.

00:07:400 (3) - As Cup diff point [1], you get the idea by now (:

01:15:920 - I'd like to see a circle added here to keep the rhythm of the kick drum.

01:54:800 (1,2,3) - As points [3] and [4] in the Platter diff, I feel a jump (placement/timing of your choice as discussed previously) is suitable here. There's an anti-jump at 02:10:280 (3,4) which also works here as a suitable alternative which may be more appropriate for the difficulty level.

02:26:960 (8) - I would make the start of this slider into a single note and create a slider at 02:27:200 to represent the "fade out" before going into the spinner. This would of course involve removing the circle at 02:27:320 (9). Saying that, I like the jump to this last note, so maybe you could make it a slider requiring regular dash to complete?

Heya o/ here's my side of the m4m.
- In my opinion your use of kiai is a bit strange. Even though the first start at 00:15:560 (1) makes sense as it goes with the slider, I think it would be even better if you start the kiai on the first strong beat, namely at 00:15:680 (1). Also, the slider would also still fit if you shorten it to start at that point as well as it works well with the emphasis on the beat at this point. Also, I feel that you should end the first kiai at 00:31:040 (1) if you choose to keep it.

- Also I'd suggest you either:

1. remove the two short kiai times as I feel they don't really do much for the map OR

2. remove the very first kiai of the song as well as the first short kiai and start a new one at or around 01:18:080 (1) until 01:32:000 (6). I feel like this emphasis could work well here. Also, even though the kiai fits well to the instrumental part, in my opinion the part with vocals feels a bit more intense and I think it would be good to have kiai there. From this, I would suggest you extend the second short kiai from 02:00:320 (2) to 02:08:960 (5) and begin the final kiai at 02:11:840 (4).

- Maybe put the album name in the song tags? It would be "RHYTHM ATTACK GATHERING 2013 Limited Album"

- You may want to also put Withered_Lotus in the tags as well as TomTheWizard since they are involved in the collab platter as well as the rain diff.
- Maybe use a reverse arrow on the slider of 00:03:200 (2) and remove 00:03:920 (3)? Even though this fits the music well, I feel like it would make a nice contrast to not use 1/2 before 00:08:000 (1), where the beat feels stronger. I think this change would be helpful for the intro overall.

- The slider 00:06:080 (2) sounds a bit strange because of the hitsound from the reverse arrow. Maybe use a 1/1 slider folded in on itself to keep the reverse without having the hitsound? Would play out better in my opinion. Also would remove the sound on 1/2 before 00:08:000 (1) and therefore contrast nicely as well and work well in the intro overall.

- The overlap of 00:17:600 (1) feels a bit weird. Even though it works, I'd suggest replacing it with either a repeat 1/2 slider OR shorten it to end at 00:17:840 (2) OR (preferably) replace it with single notes at 00:17:600 and 00:17:840 for better emphasis at this point.

- The slider 00:20:480 (3) seems a bit strange because you don't have a note at 00:20:960 (4). Maybe use a reverse arrow here?

- Maybe remove 00:26:600 (1), just to have a note less and make this easier for beginners to read. I feel like you can have a greater emphasis on 00:26:720 (2) by doing this as well. Similarly, it may be better to remove 00:30:200 (3,4) to have increased emphasis on the finishing note of 00:30:560 (5).

- I think it would be better to have only a single note at 00:48:800 (5) instead of the stream of 00:48:440 (2,3,4,5,6,7). I'd recommend removing it here to reduce the note density as well. I feel a stream like this would be better if you use it in the suggested kiai times, for example between the end of the slider at 01:07:040 (3) and the beginning of the slider 01:08:000 (4), if at all. I feel like it would be more effective to use these in the kiai times only.
- Similarly, you could remove 01:40:760 (2) and 01:41:000 (4).
- 01:45:440 (5,6) - ^
- 01:48:440 (1) and 01:48:680 (3) - ^
These work better in terms of emphasis in my opinion and reduce the note density which I think is a bit high at some points. Yes it's low bpm, but I think it would be good to reduce these just a little bit for beginners as suggested.

- I feel like 01:08:000 (4,5) would work better if you remove the reverse arrow and move 01:08:480 (5) to 01:08:960 (5) and extend to 01:08:000 (4) and add a circle at 01:08:720 (5). Maybe put the circle at around X:320 and the start of the second slider at around X:416 and let it run to the left to lead on to 01:09:920 (1).

- Maybe remove both 01:56:840 (5,6) for spacing before the kiai OR only 01:56:840 (5) for consistency in the spacing OR only 01:56:960 (6) for emphasis on the vocal? What you currently have fits, but feels a bit weird for me to play.

- In general, I feel that you maybe use too many overlaps and notes on the blue ticks. Maybe use a little bit less (eg. only in the kiai for emphasis) and structure that is easier for newer players. For example, you could:
- Remove 01:59:240 (5).
- Remove 02:11:240 (2).
- Replace 00:33:800 (2) with a single circle.
- This diff overall feels a bit strange in my opinion. You have so many circles that don't really do much for the map. In my opinion, you can have better emphasis by using fewer notes without taking anything away from the flow of your map, particularly by reducing the number of 1/4 notes. This could also help to make the salad and platter a bit more different in terms of combo and objects. Maybe aim to reduce the number of objects in salad by ca. 50 and use longer 1/4 patterns mainly in the kiai times?

Otherwise I would suggest that you:

- remove 00:01:280 (4) and extend the slider 00:00:800 (3)? This might work better in the intro in my opinion.

- replace 00:04:160 (3,4,5,6) with a 1/1 slider starting at x:290 which I think would work well in the buildup.

- Remove the notes on blue ticks like for example 00:09:560 (6,8) within the pattern of 00:09:440 (5,6,7,8,9). I feel this would work well to put emphasis on the 1/2 beats more and it doesn't interfere with the flow of the map. Similar with 00:41:000 (2,3,4,5) and others.

- replace the slider 00:17:600 (1) with a single circle.

- remove 00:34:520 (8).
- 00:35:960 (3) - ^
- 00:43:160 (2) - ^
- 00:43:880 (5) - ^
- 00:46:280 (4) - ^

- Maybe make 00:47:360 (6) a 1/1 slider and remove 00:47:600 (8) and add a circle at 00:48:080 (9)? Would sound better in my opinion.

- Maybe replace 01:08:960 (1,2,3) with a 1/2 repeat slider starting at 01:08:720 (1) or with a 1/2 slider at 01:08:720 and a circle at 01:09:200 (3)? This might sound better in my opinion.
- Replace 00:03:800 (8) with a single note, the slider feels like too much here and this works better for emphasis as well.
- 00:05:600 (6) ^
- 00:09:440 (4) ^
- 00:16:160 (3) ^
- 00:16:400 (4) ^
- 00:25:280 (1) ^
- 00:25:520 (2) ^

- 00:36:920 (6,7,8,9) sounds a bit strange because it doesn't really follow the music imo. I think it would be better to either use two triples at 00:37:040 (7,8,9) and 00:37:520 (8,9,1) and delete 00:36:920 (6).

- Maybe use two circles intstead of the slider of 00:45:920 (3). There is a lot of emphasis at 00:46:400 so it might be good to have a 1/1 jump here or even several, starting at 00:45:440 (1) and removing 00:45:680 (2).

- 01:00:320 (1,2,3,4,5,6) feels a bit out of place. I think it would be better if you did not have a stream here. Maybe use 3 single 1/2 spaced notes followed by a 1/2 repeat slider starting at 01:00:320 (1)?

- I feel like you could remove 01:10:280 (6) and extend the slider 01:10:400 (1) to start here and end at 01:10:880.
- It feels like there is a note missing at 01:19:280 (7).
- 01:24:440 (7) ^

- 01:46:160 (1,2,3,4,5) sounds a bit weird because of the overlaps. I feel like it would work better if you'd use 1/2 only. Maybe delete 01:46:520 (2) and 01:47:000 (4), add a repeat onto 01:46:640 (3) and move it to x:304? This plays out better in my opinion.

- Maybe extend the slider 01:56:480 (4) to end at 01:56:960.

- Either extend 01:57:440 (1) to 01:57:800 or replace the slider with a circle and add another circle at 01:57:800. This is highly optional though, but I think it could work well here with either the overlap or a double.

- Maybe include a bit more movement within 02:01:520 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,5,6,7) like you did with 02:16:880 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11)? The second plays out better in my opinion and you could use something similar.

- Maybe consider changing the part of 02:09:440 (2,3,4,5). I think it would be better if you use a single circle at 02:10:160 instead of the last slider at 02:10:040. You could also remove 02:09:800 (4) and add a circle at 02:09:920 to get two triples here, which I think would probably be the best option.

- You have a strong beat in the music at 02:16:640 (5). Maybe place a circle here?
Gotta agree with JBH on this one, it feels too easy for an overdose. It's a nice diff though and could easily be renamed to Rain imo. You could well have 2 rains on this set. Otherwise, I feel you'd have to make this diff at least around 4 stars to make it difficult enough and get a nice diff spread once you get TomTheWizard's GD.

As for overdose, what happened to the "Queen" diff? I still have that one and it could well be put into the set as your overdose.
It all depends on what you choose to do, so I won't mod this diff for now.
- I feel like the spinner of 01:38:240 (1) should start at 01:36:320 (1) and end at 01:38:000 (1) which fits the music better in my opinion and then you could map out the part between that and 01:40:160 where you have a lot of sounds to map to.

- Consider starting the final spinner at 02:27:920 (1) instead and using a single note at 02:27:680 (4) to finish. In my opinion the swoosh noise also slightly changes at 02:27:920 which can justify starting the spinner at that point.

- In the intro before 00:15:560 (2) you have increasing volume of the music. It might be good to increase the hitsound volume to go along with that which might sound even better. Maybe place some timing points on every large white tick from the beginning and slowly increase hitsound volume?

I feel a stream like this would be better if you use it in the suggested kiai times, for example between the end of the slider at 01:07:040 (3) and the beginning of the slider 01:08:000 (4), if at all. I feel like it would be more effective to use these in the kiai times only. - meh ;w;

These work better in terms of emphasis in my opinion and reduce the note density which I think is a bit high at some points. Yes it's low bpm, but I think it would be good to reduce these just a little bit for beginners as suggested. - fair points :D

- I feel like 01:08:000 (4,5) would work better if you remove the reverse arrow and move 01:08:480 (5) to 01:08:960 (5) and extend to 01:08:000 (4) and add a circle at 01:08:720 (5). Maybe put the circle at around X:320 and the start of the second slider at around X:416 and let it run to the left to lead on to 01:09:920 (1). i had a try with it but i think it's better as it was imo >w<

- Maybe remove both 01:56:840 (5,6) for spacing before the kiai OR only 01:56:840 (5) for consistency in the spacing OR only 01:56:960 (6) for emphasis on the vocal? What you currently have fits, but feels a bit weird for me to play. - removed (6)

- In general, I feel that you maybe use too many overlaps and notes on the blue ticks. Maybe use a little bit less (eg. only in the kiai for emphasis) and structure that is easier for newer players. For example, you could:

- Replace 00:33:800 (2) with a single circle. - changed
- This diff overall feels a bit strange in my opinion. You have so many circles that don't really do much for the map. In my opinion, you can have better emphasis by using fewer notes without taking anything away from the flow of your map, particularly by reducing the number of 1/4 notes. This could also help to make the salad and platter a bit more different in terms of combo and objects. Maybe aim to reduce the number of objects in salad by ca. 50 and use longer 1/4 patterns mainly in the kiai times? - Yeah okay will see what i can change

Otherwise I would suggest that you:

- Maybe include a bit more movement within 02:01:520 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,5,6,7) like you did with 02:16:880 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11)? The second plays out better in my opinion and you could use something similar.

- Maybe consider changing the part of 02:09:440 (2,3,4,5). I think it would be better if you use a single circle at 02:10:160 instead of the last slider at 02:10:040. You could also remove 02:09:800 (4) and add a circle at 02:09:920 to get two triples here, which I think would probably be the best option.

- You have a strong beat in the music at 02:16:640 (5). Maybe place a circle here? Withered has updated his stuff now :3
Gotta agree with JBH on this one, it feels too easy for an overdose. It's a nice diff though and could easily be renamed to Rain imo. You could well have 2 rains on this set. Otherwise, I feel you'd have to make this diff at least around 4 stars to make it difficult enough and get a nice diff spread once you get TomTheWizard's GD. - will do my best and yeah it's a rain now >w<

As for overdose, what happened to the "Queen" diff? I still have that one and it could well be put into the set as your overdose.

Holy poop i did not notice this V2 for a while XD I feel like the spinner of 01:38:240 (1) should start at 01:36:320 (1) and end at 01:38:000 (1) which fits the music better in my opinion and then you could map out the part between that and 01:40:160 where you have a lot of sounds to map to. - I got to admit it does sound good in editor. But not as much when playing. will consider changing though if it is brought up again

- Consider starting the final spinner at 02:27:920 (1) instead and using a single note at 02:27:680 (4) to finish. In my opinion the swoosh noise also slightly changes at 02:27:920 which can justify starting the spinner at that point. - Will consider

- In the intro before 00:15:560 (2) you have increasing volume of the music. It might be good to increase the hitsound volume to go along with that which might sound even better. There were a few notes in Kaia time that looked somewhat hard, but I feel that - since it is Kaia time - it is ok
Streams are really basic throughout the map. Makes it so when you do try to do something different in the streams, it seems way too hard.
00:58:392 (3,4,5,6) - lulled into platewalking. Missed on testplay
01:12:792 (6,7,8) - ^
02:14:712 (1,2,3,4) - ^
As of right now, not much I can say. The collab flows nicely together and you have variety on the streams. The only thing that got me is I expected more than 4 hypers in this difficulty.

You do want to Storyboard this difficulty so people know who mapped what though. I can try if you poke me in game so we can talk more on it.
Looks like a typical rain, but it is too hard for me to adequately testplay

Overall, it looks like a decent mapset. Keep at it and don't forget that you have to cook all that wild meat in a bit of oil or it won't taste good ;)
